build update!!!
as im waiting for my ecu to get back from ecmlink for an inspection and repairs if needed, i decided to get started on and almost finish the fuel system.

the fuel cell, has a -8 and -10 feed on the bottom and a -10 return on top, with a -8 breather valve with check ball.

with help from other dsm members on this site (not in person) @ForceFedRed @motomattx @biglady112 @bling5tatus @jimsgsx i was able to set up my mechanical fuel pump with a prime system, and also with some of my own garage ingenuity LOL

-a description of how this works.

starting from fuel cell to pump to rail to fuel pressure regulator back to fuel cell.

main line, -10an out from fuel cell into a one way check valve, connected onto the check valve is a -10an fitting with a 1/8"npt hole.

prime line (for ease of starting), -8an out from fuel cell, to a 100micron filter, then to the walbro 190 inline pump, out from pump the line connects into the -10an fitting with the 1/8npt hole thats in front of the check valve. when this pump is turned on the fuel will fill the main -10an PTFE line, and the check valve will stop the fuel from back flow into the tank.

main line after prime system. -10PTFE line out from connector with 1/8" npt hole to another 100 micron filter, then -10an PTFE line straight to mechanical pump. from mechanical pump into a 10 micron fuel filter (above the fuel rail), then into the fuel rail, from the fuel rail into an aeromotive extreme flow fuel pressure regulator pt. #13132, the out from the fuel pressure regulator a -10an push lock line for the return back to the tank. and the cycle continues

pump mount. 1" square tube welded directly to the motor mount. why? because the pump has to move with the motor or the belt will come off.

i purchased a pully of the same tooth and the same hole size as the bolt for the cam gear. this was done for ease of centering. i then drilled a hole in the back of that gear and a hole in the cam gear in the same location and inserted a cut off piece of an Allen-key, this works as a dowel pin and will assist the rotation of the pump gear.

Far too many filter and restrictions. I have been running one filter without issue before all pumps and valves since 2009 without issue.

it will work but, you are cutting your legs out from under yourself. And that sure seems like a lot of work for a single set of injectors. You need another rail to warrant all of the effort. And from the looks of your turbo you will need the extra fuel a second set will provide.

right now theres 2150cc inj installed. and i want to do a second fuel rail down the road for sure, but for now i want to get this car finished LOL

and theres only 3 filters. 1x 100 micron before the electric pump (to protect the electric pump), 1x 100 micron inline in the main feed (to protect mechanical pump), and 1x 10 micron pre rail (to protect injectors).

the mechanical pump will be pulling fuel from the main line once started. and the main line has 1x 100 micron and 1x 10 micron. the prime line has 1x 100 micron pre electric pump.

and also what do you mean by restrictions?
 
One fuel system, one filter. Each filter is a restriction. Each bend and those 180* bends, restriction.

what is the filter even mounted to above the manifold? It sure looks dangerous and like a fire waiting to happen.

down the line if needed i will redo the fuel layout. and the filter above the manifold is an aeromotive -10 inline 10 micron fuel filter
 
I don’t care what it is, what is it mounted to? As I said, it is a huge fire hazard if it is not rigidly mounted.
 
Keep in mind that the mechanical fuel pump will pump like a fire hydrant when its operating so be very careful of routing and leaks too.

later today i will go back and redo the filter portion of the fuel line. to get rid of that filter above the rail

LOL yea i know these things can pump like hell, i ordered a fuel shut off valve, just waiting for it to show up, and will be adding in line
 
I would throw a few cables ties on to secure the feed line to the rail.
 
I would use cushion clamps. You have three handy bolts that just happen to be used for bolting the fuel rail down.
 
I wouldn't be happy with the fuel return coming off of that fuel rail, can't you fit a short braided AN line in there?

i know i have a little PTFE line left, i just gotta see if i have the fitting for it, LOL but ill make it happen!

Currently doing my intercooler. It’s a vrsf intercooler, I cut off the 2.5” pipes and hole sawed 3” holes. I just dropped it off to get tig welded up, will post pics after I pick it back up hopefully later today!

If you are going through the trouble of welding new pipes on the endtanks, I would suggest welding an aluminum 90* elbow on the driver side, which would allow you to run a straight silicone coupler vs a 90* coupler. Angled couplers pose a weak spot and could possibly blow out on the bend. I shoot for all straight couplers and make my bends with aluminum pipe. Just food for thought.

yea i hear you on that, im just getting these welded in for now, then i will be mocking up the rest of the bends and marking them for welding, i dont have a tig welder so i have to do this in steps. but yes i will have a 90* coming off the pipe i just had welded in. they will be cut shorter and the appropriate bends make up for it. But right now i have 10 things im working on all at once with this car so im all over the place with things. but i will be going to pick up more piping this morning so i can mock up the rest of it. :sneaky:
 
Getting closer to having this intercooler and piping done. Have driver side mocked up from intercooler to turbo. 45* vband off turbo (welded), A 1” gap for coupler, then a 180* bend to side of intercooler (welded) I will post more pics tomorrow after I get it back. Then I have to start on the driver side

fuel pump is all done! in this video the car is running sole on the mechanical pump. i primed the system (electrical pump on a switch), car started right up. then turned off electric pump and car kept chugging !!!! soooo close
