I just faced that same decision. Decided on HP version. I figured it gives me a higher ceiling for the injectors if I can get away with running higher than stock pressure.

I figure that would be best. Do you know if that's the only difference?

I originally had the #24456 Walboro max that out at 500hp. So then I purchase the walboro 450 high pressure and made 630hp with just fuel pump rewire kit. This was on E85 by the way.

That’s a huge gain. I’ll be on E also once it’s tuned on pump

The only difference, to my knowledge, is the 274 can support more pressure/boost/hp. Therefore, I would only get that one. However, if you're going to get the 450, might as well get the 525. No reason not to.

Yeah I probably should but I highly doubt this car will see more than 450-500whp...We’ll see though :idontknow:

I missed the 525 while sleeping under a rock... crap...

ROFL It states the 525 comes with or without an internal check valve, but the 450 doesn’t mention that. So the 450’s don’t have a check valve?

Is the 525 a direct swap also?

I used to have the 267 450 with -8AN feed line from the tank to the rail. @ 43.5 psi base fuel pressure, the max boost I could go was 40-42 psi. Then the relief valve opens as advertised. IIRC it came with an internal check-valve.

Tony my car has the 525 Hellcat pump with the relief valve and works GREAT and is still quiet. I would recommend it to anyone and agree with @Vegas smith since I am running one and logging it. If you need any info just ask me.
I know I've logged high 70 psi with it and will put one in my other "sleeper".

The only thing I don't like with Walbro pumps is TI Automotive’s customer service. They charge $40 for the inspection even we receive a defective pump as new. Hopefully they already quit to charge that (at least 4-5 years ago they were still charging).
That's the reason why I stopped to recommend it to my customers outside of the State since they don't cover the shipping neither. That happened twice in last ten years.

Buy it on Amazon and the return issue is taken care of, or it was with my Aeromotive 340 that was a total POS (x2).
The 295 is a good pump but IDK if it has the relief valve that I like. It came out after I got my 525.

Yes, they absolutely have a relief valve. The non high pressure version will open with PSI in the mid 70s.

Here is my 450, not the high pressure unit, with the relief valve punched in and the weak Walbro wires replaced with larger gauge. This was actually my first go with this, and on my other car I went with even larger gauge wiring.

This pump, paired with a BAP putting 18v to it, using stock fuel lines, 2150s, and a old school afpr let me put boost into the 50s with 40psi base fuel pressure using e85. It flows a TON of fuel and is ALL 99% of people will need.

I would if it's for myself, it's just I can't sell with buying on Amazon. But that is exactly I recommend my customers who want a walbro pump, to buy on Amazon or some shop that has their own warranty and doesn't apply TI's warranty condition.

Thank god for the return policy, I got 2 JUNK 340's back to back and ended up putting the dam 255 back in until I buy my next pump, which will be the 525 I am running in the blue Talon. I am impressed with it and it keeps up with my demands.....and I am demanding!!! ROFL ROFL

Marty, is there a reason you don't go with the 550LPH on your next pump instead of the 525LPH? Just curious? I hadn't heard of them before yesterday, so I have no idea if they are "proven" yet. But, more flow and less amps sounds like a win-win. The 525LPH is just a re-wound 450LPH with higher power draw apparently. Are you set on having an internal check valve? Or maybe its taller and we don't have that option?

Alway curious how others are arriving at their conclusions! Thanks!

I haven't heard of it Will. I will check it out tho. I just like my check valve so I hold fuel pressure for a day or two and have that instant start without pre-priming my fuel pump. Hell, I guess I am just stuck on what is working for me. Is it much more in price?
