That couldve just been a test fit picture .
I hope so but even then test fitting it and sending pictures out the wrong way is not good for quality control and showing quality workmanship

Idk anything about the system. But they work really well. Would they not brake properly? Not sure how it all works.
You would be over heating the rotors as the veins extract hest out, if they not in the right direction they wont do this,

I know exactly what they did, they saw the slots in the rotor and assumed thats the way it goes but these are reverse slots but its the veins that always tell you the way the rotor goes NOT the slots on the surface

Thanks man. He assured me there on correctly and he just had them on to send me pics and to take measurements for shims. Could be feeding me some bs. But they currently have my car there anyways as their installing some cams, so I cant even look to check myself. I tried looking at some pics I took of the wheels but I dont even see an arrow. This is the best pic I have. It prolly does nothing to know if it's on right, but figure I would put it anyways.

They look like they are now on the right way, thats good to see

CEIKA is just Taiwanese trash like Ksport, D2, etc and it's not even cheap enough to justify it in the first place. I would not trust my life with Taiwanese braking parts, they use substandard materials that could cost you your life. It's not worth the risk. The Evo setup is all you need, and it's built from OEM parts. It's cheaper and better all-around.
I did some of my own research on them and it seems you may be correct as far as cost goes. They are rather expensive and are more for aesthetic than performance. I ended up making the move with just rotors since these stoptech BBK calipers will put you through the windshield with appropriate pads. Thanks for the insight!

He sent me this today, said there on correctly

So he did flip them in the end wonder if it was before or after you mentioned it to them

Yea they were always flipped in the 1st pic. That was just for measurements and to send me pics of the progress. That's what he told me atleast. But who knows he couldve seen It and changed it then sent me that pic just to say it was always right so idk. You also said they looked correct on the other pic I posted. But sure it's hard to tell with the rim and tire on. So who knows.

I saw the grooves and see they was swiping towards the pad, people do confuse this alot as they dont always do that, many assume the slots fling off the water and dust but sometimes its designed to slot inwards. My new ones just happen to be away from the pad but i didnt oay attention to the outside just the insides

To the OP, glad you were able to keep the Stoptechs. Unless you're doing track days at your local road course, they're going to be overkill for you, BUT, they're still a great set up. You should be able to rebuild them when the time comes to keep the calipers going for as long as you need.

Thing is, few DSMers track their cars these days, so you'd probably have a hard time selling them to another DSMer for decent market value if you wanted to go with something else. It makes more sense to just keep them instead of moving to another kit. With that in mind, it's awesome to see RRE was able to get you taken care of with the rotors you needed.

Thanks for the insight! I agree that these are intended for track use, but its just less work to replace the rotors. As far as brakes go, I prefer overkill. I've never rebuilt a caliper before but I'll look into it when/if these give out. And yes RRE is the bomb.

Thought I would include some photos of the rust carnage and exactly how beat up these brakes were... also does anyone know if the pins in the hat of a BBK like this are removable or fixed? My new rotors came with new pins and bolts but it looks like mine cant be removed. Could just be the rust though...

I had no issues getting replacement rotors for my stop tech kit.
I called Adam of buybrakes .com and he set me up. They were 239.00 a piece for the replacement rotors and they came with new replacement screws to bolt on to the hats. You must use a small torque wrench to properly replace the screws onto the hats with the new rotors. Wish I saw this thread earlier. And Stoptechs are better than wilwoods. They are bigger beefier calipers than wilwoods when I compared mines to a 6 piston wilwood caliper to my 4 piston Stoptech caliper.
