That could be possible. The stock MAF has had the cover removed but other than that its stock but its going to speed density as soon as I can feel good enough to go out and install it all Nick. I have everything (4 bar map, GM IAT, GM FF sensor, SD pnp harness and the VRSF FMIC)
As for the pump, i hold 14.1V and I am a worry wart about voltage for injectors and spark, thats why I run LEDs in that car. You guys can run complicated setups or simple. I chose a simple 1 pump on my HX40 car. I don't need low pressure here, high pressure there. My regulator takes care of that and I will be logging fuel pressure. Thats MY choice and that car (the blue Talon) runs great, and its on my hillbilly tune. That will change soon if I can get my body to feel better so I can get some work done, readying her for a remote tune. A old body sometimes just doesn't let you do what you want everyday, unfortunately.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Do you have your fuel pump rewired? I just ordered this kit from STM. Looks to be a pretty straight forward easy job.

I have that install kit on my Red 90, the Blue 92, I rewired myself with 10ga wire and a relay (saved myself $). I haven't got the White GSX rewired yet but she will be. Its a pretty easy thing to do and gives the pump FULL BATTERY voltage, to keep it running up to spec.
Thanks for the ad, I think alot of our vendors are doing Black Friday sales so check around before you purchase. All of our vendors are a good source. :thumb:

Well I had help today from my son so I got my AEM Wideband WIRED in and somehow trashed my boost guage so replaced it and put them in my 3 gauge pillar pod for 90's. Not running the WB yet but had enuf for the day so gonna go drive and log.
The bigger stuff is coming, just didn't make it on today. I think I have a low coolant problem and/or a knock sensor going out so I will address that after tonight. I will keep you posted and thanks for following!

Here is my son that helps me on my 1g projects driving after our busy day yesterday. I FINALLY found the sputtering problem around 5k while he drove.
The CEL came on and all gauges looked perfect, then I looked at link and the ECU was reading a temperature of 311* OMG I told him not to worry and take the car back to the shop, I knew what was going on. Low and behold, it was, OF COURSE, the CTS. It wasn't the sensor itself, just one of the wires that always become brittle had decide it was going to party on its own. Well the car didn't like that so I soldered the wire back together (it had been done before but was just barely soldered I found out). So about 15 minutes later and some hot glue on the wires where they entered the connector to hold them in place and we were back on the road to a good night of just cruising around. I had him drive and I tweaked the tune this time. Its usually the other way around, with me driving and him adjusting things for a smooth running car. We were both very happy with the days work, although the 3 fuel pump changes yesterday bit into us putting the FMIC on and Speed Density sensors. Oh well, hopefully there are more days and that stuff is coming SOON!
As for the Wideband, its all wired in correct, I just havent changed out the narrowband sensor and put the WB Bosch unit in, yet, but thats the EASY part!
"Phantom", as we have started calling her, is driving super nice and I'll be back to dailying her to work during the week when I want a change from my Saturn SC2 that just rolled over 20k on the engine that we built 2 years ago, and gets 35 MPG. :thumb:

Looking good and having fun enjoying the rewards of your labor.

Yes I am. Gettin old so sometimes I have to force myself to go do work when I don't feel the best but it always puts a smile on my face and happiness inside! Thanks for following!

I can relate. I'm 71. But I've been gradually recovering ever since I retired at age 65. I think. So eventually I will become young again??
Anyway, keep 'er going!
If nobody gets you a GoPro for Christmas, go buy yourself whatever one you want! Yeah!

That's the "Plan" LOL. :thumb:

Thanks @We're on Boost !!!!
Admire your passion and hope I can keep it going like you!
I will put it this way "as we MATURE", we realize that if you want it, can afford it and really need it, BUY IT!
I am pretty sure I will treat "THE CARS" not me, so they can record what I do and the outcomes.
You go Hot Rod :thumb:

You guys are awesome! I love reading your updates Marty! I should be more pro active with my own car. It’s pretty inspiring to a younger guy in his 30’s to keep going:hellyeah:I hope to one day wrench on this thing my son who’s currently 5 LOL, so I tell myself it’s kind of a positive investment LOL

So that could be - about a year from now! :hellyeah:
Yep! My 3 1/2 yr old grandson knows a set of AEM TRUE TIMES when he spotted them tonight! Knew exactly what they were for....papa's "Race Car" ROFL :thumb:
Teach them as early as you can!

Thru a stock MaxTiming table from the EVO 8 files in the old 90 tonite and she LIKES it ;)
Couldn't quite keep up with the new Challenger RT tonite but very respectable for being stock (plus the tuning adjustments). :thumb:
Hey, she's a Daily! :)

I am glad I have another to go romp around in if stuff gets serious.......

Well I wanted a set of "big" brakes, dual piston front calipers and my source for them had dried up with the powder coated units but I snagged un-coated calipers and bought a caliper paint kit and got busy. It is surprising how good it looks, drys pretty quick for a second or 3rd coat and I have enough paint left to do 2 more calipers, maybe on my DD. :thumb:
I would recommend the Dupli-Color kit I used if you want colored calipers, it was around $28 at my auto parts store. I wanted Red for sure but they do offer other colors, I didn't pay attention to the other 2 boxes though. :ohdamn:
Here is how they turned out. It has PowerStop pads and new rotors (although not drilled and slotted) ready to go on too!

Marty, that Evo dogbox video you showed me is "removed by user". I had it all mapped out with bookmarks with t= to the parts I wanted Tim Zimmer to comment on, then baam, it was gone. It was QM clutch related questions I had for him, because they said in the vid that the car has a QM twin disk.
Anyway, do you remember what channel that was on, or the name of the shop that the guys were from who did the video? If I knew the channel, I'd look to see if maybe they re-uploaded it, or something similar.
Nice looking calipers!

I’m considering a similar upgrade for my 90gsx. Looks like you went with 2g calipers; Please post an update on the install. They do have rebuilt 1g twin piston calipers available (rockauto, summit). Just wondering how you decided, and what other bits & pieces are required. I’m not personally into having mine painted, but yours came out great. Always helps when the surface has texture, like cast Al.

Start at post #122 I believe! I show all the components and you can get the unpainted caliper setup at Rockauto under 1994 Talon Caliper/Rotor/Brakes or something like that subtitle. Just look at the pictures to be sure they are dual piston.

I got this kit https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...heel+hub,caliper,+rotor+&+brake+pad+kit,14204
and order these hoses
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...1103195,brake+&+wheel+hub,hydraulic+hose,1792
Wagner BH132123 for the hoses and get the banjo bolts I show in the 1st link for a perfect setup. :thumb:

Thanks for the link. So you ordered the 1g twin-pison, but they sent you 2g? Looks like you adapted the hoses nicely.
Also, with the car in blue and those big wheel opening, the red is a nice compliment; Sort of like the rear side marker lights for the front. My car is similar color, but original “turbine- lade” (cheese slicer?) wheels. Calipers are way more hidden.
Seems like you left the prop valve alone, how are the new brakes working out?

They have better grip when I am trying to hold her back for sure. You know, these old hoses may even expand some under hard braking so I am glad I found a work around for the calipers and used new hoses because, yes, they are 2g but work fantastic.
Always glad to help, that's why I posted all of the parts for you. I need to add those hoses to the article so it shows each piece. The calipers will come with brake clips and 2 crush washers, the hoses won't come with them.

If you need ANY tips on doing the conversion the way I did, just hit me up. I am happy to help you over any obstacle you may think you have but I already came across it! :thumb:

I couldn't find the source. I'll keep digging tho. I know it disappeared for some reason.

Thanks!
Do you think it was Boostaholics?
I remember the guy in the video said the car was built by Rev Works. So just now I looked through Rev Works Facebook posts and found one dated April 1, 2019, with a video that was dead, and the URL of the dead video is the same as the dead video we were looking at. Shizaam! The post said the video was a Michael Berenis video. When you google Michael Berenis you get Boostaholics. Which now is not a free channel – you have to “Join” and pay $5 per month.
I'm thinking maybe the guy just recently changed the channel from a regular free channel to a Pay channel, and that could be the "some reason" why it disappeared haha! I hope so. I guess I'll have to join to find out!
