4G63 Cam Degreeing Fixture Kit:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/4G63-Cam-Degreeing-Fixture-Kit-engine-building-tools/163902747790

"Fixtures are hand tig welded on the cylinder head as a template to ensure 100% accuracy. Complete kit includes Fixture with retaining bolts, three dial indicators, one 9” degree wheel, two 2” dial indicator extensions, one 5” dial indicator extension, two lightweight checker springs, crank bolt spacer for mounting the degree wheel, two BLE solid lifters, and carrying case."

I reached out to the guy to see if he'll consider listing them here in the Freelancer section.

I've been watching the kit for a while on eBay, but it's a lot of money for something I'd use once.

Probably a dumb question, but how does the degree wheel connect to the crank? Is anything provided to make that setup easier since there isn't much room in that area of the engine bay.

These types of tools are more setup for building engines on a stand rather than setting up cams in an installed engine, that being said, I'm sure a way can be rigged up on the spot to secure the crankshaft degree wheel in the car but that would be more of a custom setup from car to car.

He said in a convo with him he will eventually have the parts machined from alloy. I dont think the price is mega high myself considering tje kit you get like solid lifters and wheel etc and the box alone but me worth like 30 ish,

Eventually i will grab one because its cool and supporting a smaller chap is great, just cant afford it right now LOL

link wont work for me

Is this the set with the sick case?

mill try to post a different link for you guys, and yes it includes a carrying case as well. It’s just a pelican style case, but they are really nice. Probably a little bit overkill, but they are even waterproof cases LOL. I will show how it gets mounted as well here shortly. I include a spacer that looks similar to a balance shaft bearing and that spaces the wheel off of the engine far enough to clear most things off of the oil filter housing to an extent, and it just uses the stock bolt. Also the spacer doesn’t stick the degree wheel out so far that you might be able to use it in car, however I wouldn’t want to for the simple fact you couldn’t get a good straight on vantage point to see exactly where your pointer is lining up at.

Cool product and really not a bad price. All the misc tools I use to do mine are in the 200+ dollar range. Wish this would have been around a few years back when I frankensteined my kit together.

Boy this would have been handy when I degreed my motor. Bout to swap cams again and the thought of trying to degree the new ones with motor in car doesn't sound like fun...
