Does anyone know if there is an a quick and easy way to get the stock upper intercooler pipe? When I bought the car it did not have one. I have a front mount intercooler kit but I'm not quite ready to install that. I'm looking for a quick fix that will only be on until I get time to put the front mount kit on.

I just got this car running but I can't drive it until I get this pipe on there.

wrecking yard or look for someone parting out a car near you. Aside of that, Ebay?

Thats a hose on a stock 90.

You’re not going to find that at a parts store. This will be ghetto af. If you can’t source one, find a throttle body elbow and use a pvc pipe with couplers until you get your IC installed. :idontknow: A kid I went to high school made charge pipes w pvc pipes since his father owned a hardware store. :ohdamn:

This what you're lookin for? Or the other end?
You have me "digging" thru my old stuff. Haven't found the rest of it yet.

It should look exacly the same unless it has a S90 or some other TB on it.

Ok mine is similar. This is what I have but this hose does not fit over throttle body side.

That looks like a 2g elbow. My opinion would be to buy a reducer silicone coupler and potentially adapt some pipe to it with a properly angeled hose. Or just buy one of those intercooler pipe kits on eBay and make it work. I also had 2g elbow and I give up trying to make it work as I had to buy other parts to use it. So instead I bought fmic kit with pipes. That was a mission as their is no more ets kits avalaible and the only one that I found with pipes was vrsf unit.

I have the VSRF front mount kit ready to install, I just want to make sure I have all my other bugs worked out before adding parts. My hope was just to get something in place where I can run the car to check for any other issues. No hard pulls or anything just some basic driving.

Do you think anything in this kit would help?

If you have the stock s shaped upper intercooler pipe than buy a reducer coupler and put a pipe in it and cut the stock hose to fit. Yes, it will be ugly but could be done.

Well I wish my camera on the phone was working. I build a home depot special out of flex fittings and pvc. I got up to about 8lb of boost and it seems to hold fine. I'm not going to go hard on it at all, I'll baby it until I can get the front mount installed..

I've got a noise now that needs to be handled but this is getting closer and closer.

You will like the VRSF kit if you have it. It fits perfect on all 3 of my 1g DSM's.
The hard part is cutting out the back side of the crash beam so it will fit and you still have a METAL bumper. The alternative is to remove the crash beam and use a custom top piece to hold the nose on the car. I had access to a plasma cutter so I cut 2 beams at the same time, knowing my new White GSX is getting a VRSF unit soon, as it came with the car! I finally found a old stock upper hose......Glad you were able to put something together to get her running for testing. :thumb:

This is what I came up with using Home Depot parts. Serious engine bay cleanup and front mount inner cooler installation should be done in the next couple of weeks.

Don’t run any boost on that setup. You don’t have a bov on there and those couplers will balloon up and burst or slip off the piping! Then you will be stuck as the car won’t run

The stock BOV is on there, it is on the extreme lower left corner. This was put into place really to make sure that the car was running stable and that there are no other known issues that would hinder the operation of the car. I drove it around earlier and the car is running well enough that I comfortable moving forward with the project. I got into all the gear no noises, vibrations or other concerns. The car felt pretty solid.

I doubt the car will run again until the front mount is installed. It should be installed at the end of next week.
