I purchased this 93 gst & the kid said it has a new turbo. I believed he said it was a td05 & I'm pretty sure he ordered this stuff online thru ebay. He couldn't give me any more details on it so I was wondering if any of this is setup is stock &/or replaceable for like some sort of hybrid? Thank you in advance

That looks like a Chinese knockoff Evo3 16g, it also looks like it might be starting to puke oil on the hotside already.

That's a cool eclipse. I don't think I ever saw that for sale in Houston. Let me know if you need parts. Ditch that turbo.
Thank you Vegas, I had to go Fort Worth to pick it up. I am in need of some parts, the motor that came with it had a hole in it. I think I may post this turbo up for sale cheap & use the funds to purchase something more reliable/known. I'll check your threads to see if you have anything posted for sale. Salute:hellyeah:

Usually OEM Turbo's made by Mitsu will have a plate/stamp on them with the serial numbers. Def looks like a knock off. :)

Perfect for the scrap yard! Might make a couple cents/dollars off of it.

You'd never sell that turbo. I'd have to think about it even if it were free and delivered.

The exhaust housings are usually ok. It may be worth holding onto just for that.
Thats what I was wondering when I had mentioned about a "hybrid". I figured I could just replace the other half & save some money. I don't mind purchasing a full oem or new turbine, I'm just not looking forward to it. I'd like to get this car on the road & purchase that stuff/upgrades along the way. Finding a set of pistons/rods is priority because I recently purchased a NT 1g block & getting it put together is priority so I can get this thing running. I have other vehicles so I'm not eager to run boost or anything like that. I just want to be able to move this vehicle when needed. The turbo was on the motor for a good 2 months, the kid probably drove it hard & threw a rod along the way. None of the internals were maintenance/replaced. It had I believe 100k on the motor & it looks like one of the rod bolts gave out. The water pump, alternator, radiator, turbo, piping, & bov are new which leads me to believe a kit was purchased online. The kid won't communicate & sounded real sketchy when I met & try to talk to him( I just felt he honestly didn't have enough knowledge on motor vehicles, not that he was scamming me). I don't believe he was mechanically inclined & I feel he was looking for a quick "turbo high". Here are some of the other stuff included & thank you all for replying:hellyeah:

**I call him a kid cause he was under 21 so please don't take offense

The hot sides are the things to be critical of. Make sure it is true and flat and you can reuse it. I have found alot of warped ones.

I'd reuse the hotside if u get a 14b. Or if u find a legit 16g with no hotside.
I use an Ebay hotside I had laying around on my 14b.
Whoally bovs batman
i'm searching for a 16g at the moment, i'm just iffy on purchasing used & making sure I get the proper model (mhi)

I agree with @Vegas smith that the BOVs are probably useable, perfect no, but not trash. FWIW...I just crush a 1g and go with that.

Well fp still has it marked wrong as a big 16g evo 3. But hit up jusmx141 here on tuners. Hes probably got a few 16s rebuilt and ready to go.
