Car has 2150cc injectors and currently -8an feed with fuel lab fuel filter. My single walbro 450 is about tapped out looking at fuel press logs. Has anyone ran a radium surge tank with 2 450's and found there flow limit? I am trying to get enough fuel supply to be able to max out the 2150's on e85, also if the surge tank is mounted in trunk does that require a firewall or not. I am unsure if it counts under same rules as a fuel cell mounted inside car.

Fuel is fuel, if its coming inside the car it has to be blocked off and PTFE lines used. I just built my own surge tank/swirl pot and i kept it next to the tank under the car for safety.

As for the pumps, if your running 2x 450 from surge then you need to upgrade your main pump as you will likely find it wont keep up with the dual pumps extracting it. It wont suck it dry but it will pull more fluid then 1 single can push in the tank.
Surge tanks work well and its not aliways needed so just run other other options that might be more cost effective and save you money, time, and wiring.

I have 1 walbro 450 In tank already. I would think that’s more then enough to keep the surge tank fed. What other options are there that can supply enough to max 2150cc?

Maxing 2150’s is over 1,000whp sir. One 450 has proven 650whp in our own member’s car on e85, SasaniFab.
To max 2150’s, any of these will do it:
(2)450’s, parallel
(2)525’s, parallel
Or
Aeromotive 3.5GPM

Something that’ll work with your current setup and be cheap is a 525 in tank with a 525 inline.
If you want to go really far and stay simple —> 2 Walbro F90000295’s in series nets 450-465lph for flow @ 80-70 pump psi.

the two latter options won’t max 2150’s, but they’re gonna make SERIOUS jam on a simple setup.
Be realistic. No need to reinvent the wheels.

I am logging almost 60lb/min on single walbro 450. Looking at logs it is close to out of pump. My air set up is capable of 75lb/min and my motor is more then capable to handle it. I need enough fuel to 80lb/min+ of air. I was unaware they made a 525 inline version? I’ll do some more digging but it seems I will be needing quite a lot of pump to be able to keep up with the air.

They don’t make an in-line one that I know of.
You put an adapter on the bottom (Radium). They also make one for the top if you want to adapt to your AN setup.
Supplied pic for reference.

I back up what ec17pse said.

My recommendation is add the 525 inline to hit your target at minimal effort and expense. With a 450 pushing it should be good to about 800-825+whp. Keep tank above 1/4.

Your 1x 450 is fueling 2 x 450's so it wont keep up at all, it wont run dry but you will have a hard time keeping it full which is what you want to do, if you do 1 in and 1 out thats good enough and will do just fine,

I have 1 in and 1 out and it wont ever have an issue.

I dont know much on E85 but if others say your setup is fine then listen to them or check fic for their fuel calculator as it might help with your decision

My injectors are more then enough. FIC says 43psi base fuel press at 90% IDC it will support 906whp. Just needed more pump I’ll look into adding another one inline.
