Well a lot has happened since the last update! Most importantly, my son was born! He had plans of his own to come a week and a half early!

What I ended up doing is throwing a stock trans in the car just so I can get it to KSR to start on the manifold. While the car is there I will be dropping off one of my transmissions to a local guy that rebuilds them. He is going to replace all the synchros, weld the diff and shim it. ALSO!! I ditched the old 950's and got some 2150's for this year finally!

@ViciousLord the 2.3 was the old 7 bolt that is no longer with us..rip my old friend. The 6 bolt thats now in the car is a 2.0

Even better if you get good results I may even stay 2.0 and just rev higher...

My plan with a GTX3582 Gen2G with T4 twin scroll turbine housing is full boost under 5k... We'll see.

Ted B on the evom forums had great results with his 2.0 t4 twin scroll HTA 3582...

And congrats on the baby. I have 2 rugrats myself

I had an eventful weekend! Between family functions and craziness I was able to find some time to get the car loaded up and brought over to KSR Performance to get started on the manifold!! Materials should be in today so I will post updates as soon as I have them :) Also, remember the turd thats been in my trailer all winter? Well, its finally in the garage and already stripped down! Doors, hood, hatch, interior - all thats left is to get this steering wheel off and the dash can come out(its already unbolted but the wheels in the way!) Then I can start on the new cage for it.

Also, good friend Donnie came in from New York to KSR to have some hot parts made, wastegate dumps and down pipe. Everything turned out amazing (grey 2g)

Turd Burglar updates!!

ITS HEEEERRREEE!! Unfortunately, UPS damaged the corner so the shipper(not purchased directly from Carbonetics) and I are working on the UPS claim for repairs. But gawd dang does it look good! Also, stripped out more of the interior slowly but surely its getting there. Windshield is getting pulled this afternoon then it is cage time! However, I have a few other things I need to buy for my black car to get it going so that is first on the list!

As for my black one, KSR had a few other cars to finish up before mine so it should be all mocked up this weekend(how exciting!)

HOLY SWEET BABY JESUS

KSR Performance is absolutely killing it on the new manifold! It is still in the mock up stages with a mock up collector but gawd dang! Valve Cover is painted with the same flake as the engine bay just need to sand off the lettering which we are doing today. Still need to modify the brake fluid reservoir since it hits the new intake manifold - should be a simple fix.

In other news! I decided to try something new for my transmission destruction. So, instead of just welding the diff and sending it I dropped the trans off to a local dsm transmission builder to get all new synchros, de burring all the gears, shimming it and welding the diff. Lets hope this helps it stay alive!

First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Second of all manifold looks sick buddy can’t wait to enjoy some beers this weekend maybe I’ll let you drive my car so you can feel some boost while yours is still being worked on.

its been a busy few weeks to say the least! But progress has been made! Planning on picking the car up this weekend from KSR and swapping transmissions out and finishing off the list of random other things that need done!

TURBO MOCK UP!

I have another bumper that I will have to get painted. I need to stop swapping turbo locations there are too many holes in this damn bumper haha!

ITS DOONNEE!!! Picking it up this weekend!! I cannot say enough good things about KSR Performance. He did an absolute killer job on this. Super excited for future projects with Kristian plus we are in the process of designing some super sweet graphics for my car, Brandons (black 1g from earlier in this build thread) and Kristians 2g (built 420a with a 6870)

THATS A WRAP!!! Well, almost.. New trans is in, everything major is done minus one single -4 to 1/8" fitting for the oil feed ugghhh! hopefully getting that today. The 110 is drained out of the tank and filled up with e85 for the first time ever. Lots of odds and ends to button up but none of which will keep this from starting for the first time!

ITS ALLIIIVEEE!!! As I thought, it ended up being a bad crank sensor - swapped it out and immediately fired up!!!!!! Running like crap because im sure my fuel settings are way off but it runs!!

Will be finishing all the little things up this weekend and messing with some settings to make it actually run

ALSO!! Finally ditching the stock ignition! Feast your eyes on this beauty

The buttoning up continues! Over the weekend I wired up all the new sensors and got them logging - fuel pressure sensor, flex fuel sensor and boost control solenoid. I installed my new CDI ignition and fired it up for the first time, boy oh boy does this thing sound gnarly! All that is left for me to hit the dyno is to bleed the slave cylinder, throw the new 5 bar map sensor on, mount the brake fluid res and run a few vacuum lines!
