this is for my red 92: recently changed my I/C setup and swapped to a 3" GM MAF in blow-through, IAT and OP 4 BAR MAP with an ECMlink PnP buffered adapter harness.
the car runs fine, but the OP MAP doesnt seem to fluctuate at all, nor read a correct pressure as far as i can tell. i have MTX gauges, and the boost gauge runs a MAP as well (3 or 4 bar, id have to check to be sure), and has seemed to be correct from day one, checked against a mechanical gauge to within .5 psi and around the same in/hg.
ive tried it wired to the buffered input harness as per ECMlink wiki, and also hardwired it to the car side of the MAF plug per ECMlink wiki, the only differences were the values logged in link. on the buffered input, signal was very erratic and after about 1-2 min would flatline to 26.4in/hg with no fluctuation, and directly hardwired, it sits at 6.9in/hg, then goes to ~12in/hg under throttle (which is backwards...).
i still have some testing to do, but im almost wondering if the MAP is just bad. both the OP and MTX MAPs are tapped in just off the manifold on the brake booster line, with around 4-6" of line to each, the MTX the further of the two. i do plan to remedy this to a better option at a later date, but i have other projects in front of that endeavor.
mods should be current in profile, and i can get pics logs if needed.
