I'm wondering if anyone out there has changed their stock brake reservoir to an aftermarket or different vehicle's reservoir? Couldn't we just use something that has two hoses coming from it?

Why?
I have a Motive Power Bleeder that works amazing with my other cars and I really want to use it on my DSM. I tried and failed to build a 2g reservoir cap that would seal with the 12psi of pressure.

its a remote mount res on a 2G anyway to you can use any res you wish as long as the lines mount to the Master the same.

I'm not so sure. Has anyone put an evo 8 brake master in? I know the 3g's are an option. There are evo cylinders in the same 1" bore size.
Your not so sure? About what? Its remote so you can! I know you can.
And you asked for the res not different master cylinder,

If you asked for different master cylinders then its a different story.

Just stick to the known 3G swap as its easier to do, I have an evo 9 mc and its not ideal but can work
