2G Who sells Brakeman #93 brake pads or other brand pads that bite well when cold?

I am looking for some good cold grip pads to hold at the line when launching with auto. Have read that Brakeman #93 works very well. Who sells these?

ive got the hawk 5.0hp pads on mine and do well cold. they do work a little better if you put a little heat into them though.

Yes I believed the same, but after checking some more, they are not the same. The Evo 2 pads are bigger.

Their AX6 will, it beats the 1521.

I use the XP10 and i think its a great cold biting pad, yes its better when hot but for the weight of the car the 10 does well for a cold use pad

Hm strange that Carbotech didnt have any pad they recommended me... I will wait and see what Hawk recommend me.

The AX6 is great for autox guys from cold and that is a hard hitting pad, i honestly think the 8 and 10 is a great cold pad, but if you want to wait on a manufactuer rather then real life reviews then just keep asking and emailing away.

I really appriciate your feedback, but when the guy at the manufactor that actually have an Evo 2 as his privat car, claims that their pads wont beat the oem pads when cold, I am looking for other solutions.
Actually in the middle of writing this, I checked my email and today I have got a suggestion from Carbotech, the Carbone Lorraine RC6 pads. He havent tried them himself, but he think it might be good for me as the high iron content on those pads should give good friction when cold. Higher rotor wear, but that doesnt bother me as I use the car very little.
Have you tested the Carbone Lorraine RC6 pads he suggest might work?
Btw very impressed by the honesty and quick replys from Carbotech.

CL thinks their RC8 compound will be good for my request. It should have friction coeff of about 0,60 @ ambient temp. They are hard for the rotors, but I can live with that as long as they bit well when cold.

You understand rotors dont take long to heat up right! XP10 list it as a 50© pad but after 2 stops it will get upto 100 no problems, wo going strsight for friction is not the right idea nor choice! What you will find is you wont keep the temp in the pad and grind the rotor with massive grooves,

Perhaps do more research on pad compounds and how they work, as you dont seem to understand the results vs performance!

By all means go yyour route from what they say but its not the right way to think about it. Forget cold cold braking alot of pads work at low temps even freezing

I dont have the opportunity to do any braking before staging to heat the brakes.. Do you have an auto and tried what I am trying to achive with your pads?

I have driven on my XP10 in cold weather and from cold they bite well, after the first brake / heat they onky get better, im not saying get the XP10 but it just goes to show that some other pads work well from cold if chosen right,

what most guys do (myself included) is to ride the brakes on the way to the staging lanes. that should build up enough heat in them to bite well.

Ordered CL RC8 compound. Will report back when installed and tested.

Update: The CL RC8 compound seems to hold the car without any vacuum pump. I have tested up to about 3800 rpm, and all well. I did install a vacuum pump as well, controlled by the Link ecu. I use a seperate map sensor for the brake vacuum circuit only. I engage it with the OD-button on the gear lever, and it stops when vacuum is 10 kpa. 11 kpa and more, the pump starts. It might be needed if I must stall higher.
