The left one mounts on the exhaust manifold.
The middle one and the right one are timing belt under covers. Go to the block and the head behind the timing belt cover like the attached pics.

The left one is the engine lift bracket that attaches to exhaust manifold/power steering bracket.
 
yes you can run w/o it

just put it in a safe spot so its there when you need to bolt it on. Its a lift point for the engine.

The lighter weight pieces are parts of the timing case cover so put those on for sure.
 
Its there to attach an engine crane to pull the engine or for an engine support bar if you need to hold the engine while you remove the motor mounts, it will run without them.
