My rear calipers keep locking up, I have repl them twice now. Does anyone know if the 2g rear caliper will fit on the 1g in the rear?

2g caliper does not fit as ive already tried on mine. so far that i have found the only other option for us is to buy something aftermarket for the rear like stms drag brake kit.

I'm not sure about fitment exactly but I know the lines screw in on the 1gs and use a banjo bolt on the 2gs so at the very least you'd need replacement lines to the caliper..

The 1g rear calipers are a "screw in" type, you can't compress it with a c-clamp or regular brake tool. they need to screwed in, not compressed.

Thx. I figured that for the hoses. I know, that is the problem they are the "screw in" type and that is that is what's seizing. Just was not trying to buy aftermarket setup!!

That's what I was afraid of!!! Was trying not too but I guess I will have too. Thx

If he doesn't have what your are looking for I'd be glad to help getting a brake kit figured out or mounts designed and made. If you don't care about the rear parking brakes it's easy to get setup then. Single piston dynalite/dynapro/ect and whatever type rotor you want.

I appreciate it folks. I have NOT finalized the rear 1G set up for a 15 inch wheel. I am close but trying to optimize the dimensions for off the shelf and the "cheapest" solution without going to something exotic.

There is always slight shaving ( the corners of the wilwood calipers ) depending on what wheel you use.

To back up a bit, why don't they fit? I put 1g brakes on my 2g and all I had to do is change the lines. They're like $5 from Rock Auto, or go stainless. Also got my calipers there for $20/ea. Are we saying they don't fit because of the lines?
I'd like to know for future reference.

Have you tried getting the piston out of the caliper, cleaning up the piston, and putting in a new piston seal?.
I've had to do it to both front calipers. Fixed my locking up problem right away. Well locking up, or staying pressed in, causing the wheel to heat up from the friction.
