The SmartShift 100.1 allows for higher line pressures also. All programmable from the laptop. Hadn't heard it mentioned but it is a very good upgrade.

Told ya!The forced four box is amaZing and wouldnt leave home without it.
I miss driving my car...... My spoolinator has been out for a month. Mike is transferring over his business, I wouldn't recommend them anymore. You can have a billet precision unit for way less troubleTold ya!
Just razzin ya, SUPER glad everything worked out for you!!!
I was just in my 6/4 auto car tuning both injectors and the shift points and map
Shift kit is all you needhi. I am new on having an automatic gst, and was wondering what performance upgrade you can do to the trans. So it holds longer and can take more power.
Let me know your wisdom on auto trans
Regards
Christian
that sucks to hear. i guess if i have any issues with my sinister i might just have to lean towards a jb unit.I miss driving my car...... My spoolinator has been out for a month. I was using a quality synthetic fluid. 6 months of non launching abuse and it broke. Little disappointedMike was great to work with in my setup. I did have my sprag go but was traced back to the fluid I was using and the lack of friction modifiers. He is transferring his business but yet the company continues to work as it did before, quick responses and good product.
6an will be plenty enough. That’s what I’m running for my coolerWhat size lines are you guys running to the trans? I have a ton of 6AN black nylon lines and fittings. Basically what I have in the car now but the lines are rubber. I replaced the stock straight outlet fittings with 6AN 90° but I have 8AN adapters that fit into the trans as well but I’ll need to piece the rest of the lines together.
As for upgrading my “stock” trans was:
Mobile1 synthetic @73k (when I bought it)
OEM METAL filter (cheapo units are plastic)
Trans lab shift kit
IPT end clutch kit
AEM trans temp gauge
Solid poly mounts (not the inserts for F&R) I do think motor mounts help the trans shift
Kiggly 6 bolt flex plate and adapter kit
Stock relocated trans cooler but I’m not going to purchase a new one until I figure out line sizes.
Use atf+4 nothing more, nothing less.I was using a quality synthetic fluid. 6 months of non launching abuse and it broke. Little disappointed
Alot of people recommended John Deer Hygard? I think I was running standard redline atf.Use atf+4 nothing more, nothing less.
Alot of people still recommend spraying head gaskets, etc etc but its just not good in practice, I have yet to see anyone have a failure due to using atf+4 fluid which by the way is full synthetic, there is nothing to be gained by using anything else and everything to lose, people running fully custom built transmissions might well run power steering fluid or hydraulic oil in their transmissions because they CAN but I wouldnt even so, on the other side most guys in here are using a modified stock transmission that still requires atf+4.Alot of people recommended John Deer Hygard? Interesting bit of info.... from the man himselfYea I am not saying yours was not an early failure. I had a year on mine with track days and it was running great. I swapped out my fluid for some supposedly "better racing fluid" and the converter went out in less than 100 miles. If I didn't already have a PI converter sitting around, I would have swapped the Sinister back in when I received it back from Mike.
Sinister has a lot of converters out there that have a lot of miles on them including cars that race every weekend. I feel we may have had that low percentage of converters that failed early and so happens we are both active on the forums to talk about it haha
