Good God. You're still alive?! :p
Living the dream.

WTFOMG never actually thought I'd be around when I saw @LandoAWD be active...
"Active" is relative.
LANDO! I haven't seen a post from you for YEARS! (probably mostly cause i'm on ar15.com way more than here but still)
Good lord I hate that site. There are a couple of folks worth talking to, but I can only read so much about grip-pods, operator tactics, and skeletonized receivers.

C'mon down. Between work, range time, and Cars and Coffee, I do little else.

It's not worth anything, give it to me.

$10,000 and i'll give it to you, you come get it, drop cash in my hand and I'll even give you a six pack of whatever you want while I help you load up the extra parts, stock wheels etc. and talk about what all was done and when, I have records of when just about every mod or maintenance item was replaced.

And I'm listing it for sale, $5,000.

It's not fun anymore unless I drive it hard, and driving it hard on the street is stupid. To much temptation to do pull and haul butt around corners. Bye bye previous obsession, re-prioritizing my life = no room for you.

It’s a tough market out there man. I put mine up for sale several times and I’m only asking $4800 bucks OBO for a stock-ish car (tastefully modded if you will) with (a/c, ps, pd) and I can’t even get a single person to come up with cash or even make a serious offer. People do not see any value in these cars. Pretty much you’ll find tire kickers everywhere; at least in my experience.

So..I decided to keep it and actually throw the mods I have for it and have fun with it. At some point if someone is really serious about buying I would consider selling it. You know the saying..everything is for sale at the right price.

-glws-

In my opinion, it is definitely worth $5k. You might have to sit on it awhile and deal with some awful people/offers, but you'll find someone.

There are still people out there who know what you have and what it's worth - the fact that it's a 16G car is moot. It looks clean and well cared for, and hasn't changed hands 47,000 times.

Best of luck with the sale. If I wasn't expecting a baby, I'd buy the thing from you in a heartbeat!

Well I have a bite, who may show up tomorrow to look at it in person coming from SC to GA, so I'd say he's serious if he shows up. If he just plops out 5 grand i'm going to kick myself for not asking more :/

Cant regret it now! Glws, hopefully he doesn't flake like most ppl here do!

Eh, it's just a machine. I won't lie, I'll miss it, spent the last 15 years and thousands upon thousands of dollars on it. But I can't take it with me beyond the grave and it's no longer fun to me to goose it on the street. And I don't have the money or opportunity to track it, it had become a obsession for sure so, it's got to go.

You could do what I do, drive it WAAAAAAY out yonder until you hit the middle of nowhere and then have a "track type day", afterwards drive her home with a big smile which would help you keep those DSM juices flowing..

I had a thought awhile back about getting a LS1 Trans Am and selling her instead, but it was just a fleeting thought, as I knew would be kicking myself the minute she drove away with a new owner behind the wheel..

Well, my wife just convinced me not to sell it... so I mean if she's on board with me keeping it. I just have to continue to abhor sin and not be an idiot behind the wheel on the street.

Your wife is a GOOD woman, like I said when you get that "itch" go as far as you can away from "danger" and play with her safely, I remember doing my street tune and being incredulous when my tuner said I need you to get a 3rd gear pull all the way to 7k-7500 RPM.. I knew what I was doing in 2nd gear from 7000-7500(63-68mph), so I googled speed by gear modified 1g dsm and found that a 3rd gear pull would be anywhere from 98 to to 104 mph.. :pray:OMG

Needless to say I went out on a dead highway at 4:30 am(VT), street outlaws style and did said pulls.. I can tell you it was an AMAZING rush, right then and there I decided my 1G would be with me the rest of my natural life and hopefully in the afterlife.. :).. (Moral of the story, I am glad you decided to keep her sir)..

Yeah, going out in the middle of no where and doing pulls still isn't on the table. It's not a safety thing that's the concern. It's a obeying authority figures and laws thing. The safety side of it is just good sensible reason in addition to the above.
