I've been feeling like my 14b 2g was lacking in the power department. So I started looking around for problems and I found that my hks bov was spinning freely on the flange. I took the o ring out and installed it with the snap ring only. It's super tight on there now and tested it for a boost leak with soapy water. I found none. The bov is now sounding great! While I had that intercooler pipe off I found a huge cut in the pipe that a previous owner slapped a piece of gorilla tape over. Well the tape was doing nothing and it was ripped anyways. So I temporarily taped it back with multiple revolutions of duct tape. I went for a test drive and I was floored at how much more power I felt kick in. It felt great to not experience the sudden power loss at 5k rpm like I had been. Tonight I fixed the high 2k rpm warm idle issue by loosening the 2 10mm throttle cable bolts while the car was running and at operating temp. I loosened the bolt closest to the driver side first. As soon as I loosened the last one the cable instantly relaxed and my rpm dropped down to around 750 or 800rpm. I was super stoked about that. I snugged the 10mm bolts and went for a test drive. It was a nice experience, however I accidentally ran over a corn snake and my car was chased by a dog.
