I really think I'm going to pony up the dough and put 4 wiggins clamps on my IC piping. I will have to do a 3" to 3.5" reducer on the throttle body and a 2.5" to 3" reducer at the turbo that way all 4 clamps are 3".

No one will talk you out of them, the next set of pipes I make for my car will have them. They are spendy even the knock off ones but they kick ass.

I bought a similar one (Vanjen) and it holds well. I changed to that clamp on the outlet on the VRSF FMIC as the coupler didn't sit well enough for me. The Vibrant/Wiggins clamps work and look great.

Seems like a lot of time and money for virtually no benefit.
The benefit is they have 5 degrees axial flex, are quick to remove, and look nice.... and hold boost well. Won’t tear or wear like a coupler..

It’s not really a lot of time to weld them on especially if you are already fabbing new ic pipes.

Cost is marginally more then a quality 4 ply coupler and 2 quality stainless T bolt clamps

Couplers and T bolt clamps can be up to 30$ give or take each (hump couplers) and when you multiply 30 by 3 for each joint, you would be close to if not more then a Vanjen or clamshell/wiggins setup which all have varying costs. It all depends on the level of quality you want on your build.

I hear they cut the shit out of you and clamp itself likes to break.

I'd go with a Hargett clamp vs a Wiggins style any day of the week if I was looking at quick release clamps.

My issue with all of them is they you’re rigidly connecting the engine to something mounted to the frame (intercooler).
If you have a race car with solid mounts (including subframe bushings) it’s fine. Anything else and you can have issues.

They arent ridgid though they have movement for that reason but yes I assume they are Intended for race cars LOL

I just have a self-imposed rule to not “upgrade” parts that work. If I had an issue keeping couplers on I would look for a solution. Right now these clamps are a solution looking for a problem.

I agree. For me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The "coolness" is how I can see these being tempting. But, realistically, it's just ridiculous spending that kind of money on some clamps. Many won't admit it, but even they know deep down they're getting it for the "coolness" factor.

Well after seeing the consensus on these I've changed my opinion also. I've never liked t bolt clamps and have always been using regular hose clamps. I like the constant tension clamps but like others have said its probably a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
