Its crazy how different your bay looks now compared to the first page. Love the attention to detail and how you're learning as you go along. In for updates!

Thank you very much! Yeah, it has definitely been a learning process. I also cannot help but be proud looking back at the dramatic changes LOL

Well I FINALLY got around to changing ALL of my old coolant hoses on my car with new black silicone ones! What sucks is that I wasn't even able to take pics of the new ones before putting them on due to me having to rush since I was using a friend's garage and was restricted to a minimal time frame -_____-
But while I was at it, I decided to finally change out my stock radiator as well! With..... A stock radiator replacement! LOL
Due to funds, I figure I'm better off spending less than $50 on an OE replacement that's works very well anyway.

Look at that freaken' end tank... OMG

Also, my manifold that I coated with high temp paint really didn't do much I think.. and not only that, but it ended up building some rust over the course of the winter which looked hideous :barf:

As you can see by the thermostat housing, three last owner definitely used tap water in my coolant system and I've really been paying the price. Think I've went through 5 bottles of coolant flush/cleaner so far and the water still comes out brown.. not only that, but I flushed the block for like 45 minutes with the car at idle and a garden hose fed into the thermostat housing.. then, did it AGAIN after the install of new parts. Still running brown... :banghead:

Anyway, regarding the manifold and what not, decided to toss the stock heat shielding and throw on some custom made manifold, turbo blanket, and o2 housing blanket I got done by Levi at Turbo Performance Products! Sorry I only got a shot of the manifold blanket.. but check out the titanium color :sneaky:

New radiator and my stocks fans all cleaned up and ready to go in:

Decided to also finally throw these babies on:

Also, credit to turbosax2, I bought some heat reflective radiator hose sleeves for my new silicone hoses because I figure it wouldn't hurt. Finished product of everything put back together:

A better look at the blankets:

Excited to see what kind of a difference this all makes AFTER I successfully flush out all the crap from the coolant system AND will be doing some ducting work in the next few weeks..

Your under hood temps should be much better. I like the stock setup, it won't heat soak as much as an aftermarket aluminum one! :thumb:

I couldn't agree more with ya' buddy! If only there was an easy way to take out that water pipe. I'd love to wrap it in some heat reflective tape..

It does help alot. I was surprised.

Was just skimming through this and saw post #31. Thats my engine bay, literally my car, from a photo I posted in the past.

I dont really care, but I found it odd that the poster went on to take credit for my work.......that I do not like.

Heres another pic from that time period. And I have dozens more.

You should really re-read that post. He says that he dropped his off for shaving, HOWEVER there is another picture on the website with a shaved intake manifold and then he posts a picture to show what it looks like shaved. There is no part where he claims it his.

ok.............. I re read it and I see what your saying.............. It still looks bad form to me......... even after a second time through.

maybe it was the part where the threads OP said how great it looked and asked how long it took to do that fooled me.

whatever.............maybe im just crazy. Im cool with that too.

sweet whip ishnish.

enjoy it.

Wish I could say I have been LOL I haven't driven the car in months because of school and re-locating. Funds are tight but now that I have my boost controller installed, I think my next goal is to do a remote tune for 91 and e85 here in Cali. Trying to be focused on priorities though... So sad seeing her sit

Little update:
Was having fuel pressure issues as my AFPR base fuel pressure was set at 43psi but at idle with vacuum line attached, fuel pressure did not drop. Ended up removing the old stock 1/4" fuel line with new 3/8" return line. Pain in the butt to do but I REALLY prefer the hard line over the SS braided line!
WAY cheaper and gives me more peace of mind.
