45 here first one in 94 bought a 91 off car lot with 60 thousand miles on it. I worked at, just picked up number 6.

I can't wait until I can be considered an old timer in the dsm community LOL.

So glad I've never been a fan of social networking. No Facebook, instagram, etc. for me. Most "kids" of the generation that are consumed by these social networks seem to only be concerned with the work on their cars so they can post pics of it just just for likes :toobad:

This is the only online profile of mine that I am CONSTANTLY logged in on and checking, which leads me to my next point actually:

wth is up with CONSTANTLY having to log in just to cruise the forums or check my inbox?!! It's frustrating constantly getting logged out even when I specifically check the "stay logged on" box!! This started happening like 2 weeks ago..

Just because I scream "Get off my Lawn" at least once a week doesn't make me old right?
Nope. If you pluck em with the Red Rider, they no.your old.
Boy am I glad I have a mile of road between me and my neighbors! :)

Hey @ishnish, remind me to check into it.
PS, this is the ONLY social media I do too.

Brent rau helped build my first car. And that was back when his car was street legal running 10's@155mph.

37 here, bought my “real” dsm in 2000 when I purchased 99 gsx. Before that thought I had a dsm but it was a 1.8l laser(LOL) when I thought “oh well heck I’ll drop in a 4g63 no problem. I immediately got rid of it and bought my gsx. Been fun and crazy ride since. I wouldn’t change for the world. Well, maybe buying the laser. Lol glad to be apart of the dsm family

I laugh at your comments and join dates. You have no idea the fire and spite that was dsmtalk. The damned that use to roam this forum tormented by the demon or the cursed cars. Those member of such bitchiness and hatred. You all complain of the youth on Facebook, yet your fear to drop the fire of the hatred that use to be on this site. I remember a time when dsmtalk refused to let new members register for their site because they were convinced new dsm owners were idiots and did not need to join thier site

I remember DSM Purity. Now there is a website that was so tight knit. And then out of nowhere the owner shut it down gone forever. It was one of the big rivals of this site for awhile back ten years or so ago.

I am 31. Had my first 2g when I was 17. Sold it and bought an evo but could not resist thinking of a 1g in white. Found one, contacted the seller and next thing you know the ad is gone. I thought to myself that it just god does not want me to have one. 5 months later same car appears for sale again. I knew it was a sign. I got it like in the middle of the night. Seller thought I was some sort of a weirdo. So now we have and a completely stock evo and not so stock 1g Dsm. I have been to tuners for like 15 years. I had differant screen name back then. I think tuners has slowed down a lot since then. Lots of part outs. Lots of post about running issues. It makes me think that these forums became diagnostic forum more then anything. It's nice to hear that I am not the only one who has been around these cars for that long. Happy boosting everyone.

Happens quite a bit. Dfwdsm had the same issue, usually its a comedy of bills on bills

I was on dsm talk like 10 years ago had one hell of a sexxy eclipse back then but traded it for a wrx when I had my daughter needed 4 doors been back in the game like a year but still building my car maybe by end of summer I’ll be driving one again

I call bullshit. Your username has 420 in it, your badass build was a bodykit

Also I’m 35 LOL

I am 36 now. Got my first and original DSM in 2002 when I was 21. I still daily an Eclipse, but it's a 2009. I didn't turn my back on the 4g63, but I have a 2005 Evo 8 RS now. LOVE it. I would like another GS-T one day in the garage next to my Evo.

I remember many of the names in here. I don't get stuck in the past, but man, Tuners' prime was an absolute great era. I remember wanting to join in 2003, but I was too nervous and didn't know how to obtain an email to join. Ha!

The amount of knowledge and memories gained from this site and VFAQ will always have a place in my heart & mind. I do miss the days once-in-a-while, but looking back too much doesn't help the present for me.

And I totally agree about these current kids. They use shops for the easiest installs, like BOVs. I am blown away at how it's all about IG followers, likes, and filtered pics. What a complete 180 the younger car guys have gone. I cringe at even calling them "car guys".

But I digress. Maybe @steve and I should go to Cali and hunt down Defiant and bring him back! We can take the Evo! LOL

Ha, lets start with a few drinks in the backyard first. Still waiting for you to drop by.
