Good morning to all, I know that the two transmissions are different and that the transmission of GGSX The "Primary" ratio is 1,608 while the primary ratio of the DSM is 1,275.
The seondary ratio of GGSX is 3,100 while that of DSM is 3,866.
My specific question would be ...
What do I need to do to be able to operate the GGSX transmission on my DSM 91 AWD?
I only have the transmission.
If you could be more specific with photos, it would be very helpful for me

Greetings

I wouldn't recommend it. That trans has typical ball/roller bearings like those in the NT FWD cars which aren't made to take a lot of torque. The AWD trans, in a T/E/L, has tapered roller bearings which are made to take torque loads.

You would need a GGSX rear end to go with the trans. It's unique.

BTW, if you want to sell the trans, I'd be interested. I have a couple GGSX's.

It would be fine in a stock power level turbo car, but I wouldn't put anything more to it, as morphius says. If you wanted to run it in a DSM, and you don't have a GGSX rear end with the 2.864:1 ratio, you could swap a dsm ring and pinion into the GGSX transmission, but it will be very very very low geared.

Ok man, i have 5 dsm awd but i only have 4 awd trans and the ggsx transmission, maybe I would be interested in a change for a trans AWD, my ggsx trans is in perfect shape.
In the car that I want to use it is a car of normal use friend, stock engine without modifications

There is no problem for me, I just want to make the car work, the car has everything in stock, can you tell what is the ring and pinion that I have to change?

I was in a pinch and ended up with one of these 12 or 13 years ago. When I bought it I was told it was a vr4 trans. I ran it not knowing luckily nothing bad happened and it wasn't in the car long because it barely ever moved under it's own power back then. It spun the front tires easily I'm pretty sure the vce was shot in it.
Don't run it without the proper gearing like I said I didn't know any better back then, nor would I now. I'm sure if the car was reliable back then there would of been some real damage in that trans the center diff couldn't of been happy.
