Gave her a good wax and buff today to hold her over until the full repaint this spring/summer. Still holds a nice shine!

Car is no longer for sale at the moment, the r33 isn't available anymore. Oh well, 4g63's are still cool:hellyeah::)

Having a word with my paint guy today, going to get this ball rolling soon with a full paint job and fix all the body damage. I can't wait to see it flawless and without a big DENT in the drivers QPLOL

A bit late, but congrats on your new DSM addition! I'm in love with that gray color; looks really unique under the right lighting conditions. Your new choice of wheels is definitely better than what the car originally had, but I guess everyone has their taste. I definitely agree on the exhaust though, too bulky for the shape of the rear bumper. It's too high up and that can is just sticking out too much. Just please never ever swap the bumpers for Eclipse ones. #savealltheEagles!

Good luck with the build :)!
Agree on them bumpers. Talons are hard to find these days :( one went straight to the crusher at my local junkyard...I'm swapping my eclipse parts to talon. Need to find me a 2gb front bumper then I'll be set. So I'm a little jealous of your pure sex talon haha.

Thank you for the kind words, but my Talon isn't perfect! At least not in my eyes... Yet:)

Slowly but surely I've been getting this ball rolling and I'm excited for what's to come!

Update on the build!

The 16g is toast! Currently saving up for a new turbo. I'd like to stay bolt on, so I'm looking for an FP red or BEP hx35. If anybody knows where I can buy one let me know!

Getting parts ordered as quickly as I can so I can enjoy this awesome weather we're having in east tn. I've sourced a turbo (JB FP black) and all the feed/return lines. I need a atmosphere dump o2 housing and wastegate. I'd prefer a black color tial wastegate but any color will do, if anybody has one I'll have the cash to buy this Friday so let me know!

On another note, I totally forgot about my cam install. Meant to share a video when I put them in but I've been busy lately and it slipped my mind. Enjoy the lope:p

Jumped the gun and ordered a new o2 housing from STM. I'm excited for this because the piece looks to be amazing quality and I can't wait to see it in person. STM also has some of the best customer service I've ever dealt with (thank you for the help Connor!). The turbo will be ordered tomorrow, so now all I need is a Tial MVS 38mm wastegate and I'll be ready to party:sneaky:

Going to be ordering the turbo as soon as paypal recieves my transfer, says it can take up to 5 days:cry: otherwise everything is going as planned. Will update with pictures next time! For now, here's a few shots I grabbed of my Talon and my friends is300.

Well my turbo finally came in the mail, huge thanks to ArcherFab for the great service and everything! I've already got my 16g pulled and now I'm going to do some cleaning before the new turbo goes in (plus I have to wait for a wastegate to show up for sale, and my o2 to come in the mail). Anyway, here's a comparison between the 16g and the FP black.

Hahaha. I compair my old and new units just like you. You have a nice setup. You should feel the difference for sure!

Thank you! I always like to see differences in size, quality, etc. when I upgrade parts. It makes it more exciting seeing them side by side.

It does and if you dont capture that moment you cant get it back. I delete alot of pictures but if you dont take em ..... :)
Was so envious of you I had to finally find a 1g awd auto. God I wish my 98 TSI was AWD!

Exactly! See you understand LOL

I'd love to have a 90' TSi AWD. Always wanted a red one but never was able to find the right one.

I honestly was VERY lucky to have found a 98' TSi AWD 5 speed. It was almost like it was meant to happen, I had the money in hand and I saw it on CL a few days later, drove from my house in east TN to VA the next day and got it. It was a 13 1/2 hour round trip but I wasn't going to let one slip through my fingers. I don't regret a second of it:)

I saw this car on CL months ago, and contacted you about it.

I didn't hear anything back, and wondered where it went. I see now that's because you decided to keep it. Smart choice.

Love that color on the 2gb talon. The cloth pattern is awesome!

I agree! Love the interior of this car. However, since I drive it frequently, I'm probably going to swap the stock front seats out for some recaro or bride street series seats so I don't ruin the stock ones.

My STM O2 housing and dump pipe came in today and I'm impressed with the products quality. It is a very nice piece and I can't wait to have it bolted on! Also, it came with gaskets and new DP bolts/washers which is awesome!

Very nice, I have the recirculated version of STM's O2 housing and couldn't be happier. It will eventually turn the brownish sepia hue as most SST pieces but it does not rust even under harsh conditions. I'm thinking of buying their full exhaust as well since IMO most GST exhausts don't look right on our bumpers (being slightly higher and less aggressive). What downpipe are you using? Most aftermarket reduce the size to match the OEM O2 housing at 2.5" and STM's is a true 3" version. Any issues with that?

Oh okay cool that's good to know, I'll ask a friend of mine if he can ceramic coat it before I get the rest of my parts on, if not, I'll just keep it how it is and address the issue as it arises. And to be honest, I'm not 100% sure on the DP brand, it looks like the Megan DP I had on my other dsm, but it's hard to tell. I stuck the o2 up to the DP flange and it is a perfect fit.

Very interested in your opinions on the FP black. Spool up rpm etc. .

I'm excited to get the turbo onto the car, but I still have to wait for my wastegate and a few other small parts. I'll be posting up results here though so stay tuned!

The two bolt flange will fit, I was just wondering if there was a difference in pipe diameter at the joint which might strangle the flowpath of the exhaust gasses. I think the Megan DP is slghtly crushed at the ends but is a 3" downpipe.

Oh okay I see what you're saying, as far as I can tell it is a very very minor difference, not anything that I feel is restrictive enough to modify. Seems to be pretty spot on!

Used some industrial degreaser on my valve cover and all the oil residue on the front of the block. Looks a lot better even if you can't tell from the picture. Also painted my mani with some high temp paint and clear, it'll have to do til I can afford a new manifold.
