I haven't seen a really funny DSM Craigslist post in a while and this one made me laugh so I figured Id share it with you. There are some pretty good one liners in here but I won't spoil it, I figured Id let you find them for your self.

Wow 350hp with just those few mods. I'm curious how it does with those "1200cc of injectors" and no listing of a way to control them. Also what is a stage 2 clutch? Is that a ebay brand? This is a poor representation of the dsm community. I hope someone does buy this from the seller and does the car real justice and the seller needs to go back to honda's.

I've got one better. There's a red 2GB Talon on FB for sale that has a spun bearing and needs machine work, for the low price of $6,000 firm. No cage, no performance parts, it's not race ready...it is a semi-clean 2GB Talon but that's it.

The amount of people who don't read ads are freakin' hilarious. He listed a massive list of "mods" that include "fresh spark plugs" and etc to pad it, and at the very middle, casually mentioned the motor is in pieces and in bags, and no one seems to notice. Man some of these people are gonna be pissed when they drive cross country to get it and find out it's a roller for $6k!

The sad part is, that kind of thing is becoming the norm. I've been looking like crazy for a solid 2g GSX, and every ad I see is exactly like that. "GSX,188k miles, transmission won't go into 2nd gear/grinds at low speeds... $6700" ....

ROFL seriously, it's true. Or "GSX, body has 200k miles, no engine, trans, ecu, harness, axles, suspension, interior, seats, or steering wheel, has rust on the 1/4 panels and strut towers, also has evidence of Dirty Mike and the boys having an orgy in it...I'll take $2500."

My 2GA Talon is apparently worth $12,000 by all these people's benchmarks. I'll take $10k cash though just to cut you guys a deal.

whoever buys that car will wind up on this forum looking for advice on how to fix everything the previous owner fkd

horrible overspray paint job

The Facebook adds seem to be golden these days. One guy was asking $9k firm for a stock looking 1g with no mod list or info. When I asked for details that made it worth $9k he posted "This car is easily worth asking price, anyone asking question about the car will be blocked." And then blocked me.

Lol.... some people. last year before I modded my 1g beyond bolt ons (basically just hard UICP, link and a fuel pump) I was thinking about asking 8k with 60k original miles on it and zero rust. being a 92 with the 6/4 5 speed I figured maybe, just never wanted to get laughed out of the classifieds. LOL

Hahahaha, I remember that guy. Then proceeded to have all of his friends vouch for the car, and casually let it slip that there was some rust issues. Ad was deleted and I haven't heard from him again. Honestly the guy selling the red 2G with no motor for $6k would probably rival that dude by legit asking $12,000 for his vehicle if it ran.

Shame I missed that one. I really get a kick out of those threads, especially when the sellers start calling people poor for not wanting to pay their asking price.

ROFL yeah. "Get on my level, seriously." type people crack me up to no end. The idiocy is just plain amusing.

Don't forget the people who use my favorite excuse for rust:

"It's a northern car, so just expect rust"

which to me is code for "every owner abused and neglected this car" LOL
