If you tried to just muscle it out the big end and do it with trap speed, it would be more like a 500 shot. I bet a 50 shot would only net 1-2mph on the big end and barely touch the ET.

Shep is the only one we can bench race with, as he made passes both ways. I think he went 7.90@191 without nitrous and 7.70@196 with. I don't know how big of a shot it was but I'd imagine it was 100+

He's making enough power right now to do it, it's just trying to get the car to front half better. Rau went 6's at 200mph, but he had like 1.0 60's.

It's incredible that we can even entertain the thought of a 6s awd dsm. If these guys keep pushing I think we'll see it in 2 years. I just hope it happens ay Byron and I'm there to see it.

**UPDATE**

Over the Memorial Day Weekend, we took the Red Demon out for some testing on the new Methanol Injection and 83mm Turbocharger setup. After putting down over 1300WHP on our Mustang Dyno, we were itching to see her fly down the track!

I believe it's just the 1-4 H type pattern as their dogbox is 4 gears according to their mod list. I'm curious as well though for the thorough description LOL I'm looking forward to the shootout! Hopefully it's nice and cool and we see 6's! Maybe head to head match up too for good funn :hellyeah:

H pattern is the standard shift pattern in regular transmissions. As opposed to a sequential which is still a manual but clearly not an H. A standard 4 speed with no reverse would make a perfect H. You can see where the name comes from.

With sequential it's not possible to select the wrong gear.

I am impressed with this. So we are saying that the DSM AWD 5 speed (4 speed in this case) trans (ppg dogbox) is the fastest h pattern shifted car in the world? It seems very ironic to me that this is true as I have destroyed and have seen so many others destroy these transmissions. They are notorious for being sh$%%y- and yet its the fastest. I think its awesome- but kind of funny at the same time.

This is not a stock gear, it's ppg straight cut dog box. The only thing stock is the housing. Check their mod list. It no longer rely on stock gears.

If you watch the in-car video, you can see Devin moving the shifter to go into reverse and 1st gear, not forward and backwards like a sequential shifter. He doesn't use a 5th gear for drag racing, just 1-4 - 5th gear is used more for when he does 1/2 mile events in the Demon.
