Finally was able to fix my boosting problem:D. It's been weeks since last time I felt any power. I'm almost ready to switch to e85 either today or tomorrow. I'm gonna be tuning the e85 on FIC 1100cc Hi-Z injectors with the Evo 3 16g turbo. However, I did buy a Fp 68hta and want to thank Fp because the new manifold I had coated already started to rust and they are sending me a new one:thumb:.

Not much to update, but I did practice painting one side of the engine bay and tried to clean it up some. My plans are either to do the timing this winter and remove the motor and repaint the whole engine bay or redo the front suspension as in new control arms, sway links, etc.

Just pulled off the intake manifold. Swapping in an Evo 3 intake manifold with a rebuilt 1g throttle body (throttlebodys.com). Was able to remove the manifold from the top side in a little over an hour so not bad for just using a 12mm wrench and socket. Plan on tucking the harness under the manifold for a cleaner look.

Soon to be installed is a fluidampr damper, new fp manifold, fp 68hta, and front suspension.

Update. I decided it was time to switch to the fp 68hta turbo, while I still have time off before the second semester of nursing school begins. I will be adding a new fp ceramic coated race manifold as well as new gaskets and bolts. Also, going to install the fluidampr with new oem belts and bolts.

Placed an order with extreme psi one day too late for delivery before next year...dang I'll have to wait til Monday for more parts LOL. I have a magnus fuel rail for e85 and some JM Fab goodies like new purple brake cap and purple radiator brackets.

Anyways, I'll post some pictures of everything from tear down to install. Here's the starting photo.

Started the disassemble and clean up. Remove the power steering pump to be clean up and painted the reservoir. Finally got the crank pulley removed, had to put a ratchet on the center bolt and zip tie it the suspension, so it wouldn't rotate counter-clockwise and risk bending my valves. However, the four bolts needed a lot of PB blaster and a breaker bar to get them loose LOL.

Slowly but surely I'm getting her put back together. I only have a few more pieces before she's done yay! I installed the fluidampr pulley, 68hta turbo, fp manifold, gm flex fuel sensor, poly motor mounts, and a lot of cleaning. I also repainted the valve cover and added jmf radiator brackets and brake fluid cap.

A tip for anyone who removes their water pump pulleys, and has a hard time lining up the three holes to put the bolts back in. I found it extremely easy to use a zip tie from the water pump hole though the first than second pulley to ensure alignment.

Looks good, nice car.

Looks like u have the black 1g timing cover, out of curiosit, did you have to trim it for the fluidampr to fit?

I thought the gray covers were for the 1gs and black for 2gs. Either way I did not have to trim anything and it fit perfected.

I could be mistaken. I thought there was a black 1g cover from a Hyundai (1.6 or 1.8)
Was just curious as I had to hack mine all up for the fluidampr. But it'll work

Small update: Got my car back after the hood/windshield accident. They did a great job on repairing everything. I, also, started to repaint my ugly gsx rims until I decide on which rims to get to fit my long-term goals. So far I got two done and hopefully will have the other two done this week. I will never do this again LOL, takes too long to strip and sand by hand.

Well I decided to install the ETS street intercooler kit for now until I can figure out my future goals, and when I do I will get a custom 20" intercooler from ETS to retain fog lights.

I, also, picked up some Outlander brake caliper brackets non oem new for $72 and some Centric E-coated rotors for $64. I hope to install them in a few weeks along with painting the brake calipers and replacing the front suspension.

Finished installing new OEM lower control arms and MOOG tie rods & sway links in the front. What a pain in the ass those ball joints can be to remove even with a pickle fork. Going to start on the rear later this summer and clean up the surface rust on the rear subframe and what not.

Repainted the valve cover and changed the intake pipe to black. This is the last time I redo the valve cover next time powder coat and an lines installed for a catch can.

Finally ordered a custom ETS intercooler street edition in 4" to be able to install the fog lights again. I can't wait!!! ETS said the Talon intercooler in 20" core by 4" should be good for 500whp.

Got the alignment done this morning, and I did pretty good with installing the new suspension. I was only off by .1 per side on toe. However, it looks like my right camber is off. So looks like it's time to rebuild the upper control arms with MOOG ball joints and poly bushings.
