Hey guys,

I haven't been on this site in years! Here's a video clip from a dyno session last month at TPG Tuning.

You must be logged in to view this image or video.

This run was at 42 psi. It made 816/572 on their Mustang dyno.

Basic setup is
2.0 liter CB motor (2g head), FP 3794HTA, E85, Dual 044s, FIC 2150s

what's done to the transmission , rear diff? Nice pull!

It's a TRE stage 4 transmission. It's actually the original transmission and engine that came with the car ( minus the 2g head). It's held so far on the dyno and one track pass but the HG lifted and torched the head. I think something stupid happened. I'm thinking an injector failure (FIC 2150s).

It's also got a Liberty 300m t-case and DSS 3.5" driveshaft. I'll be adding the Frontline Fab t-case brace and diff cover over winter. I'm also thinking of getting another transmission with the liberty gearset for the track. I'm well aware that an oem gearset transmission won't see a long life at high power but it's held so far.

Here's it's first pass. This was my first time driving the car at this power level. The 2 step would not disengage so there was no way to actually launch it. I tried just rolling it to get a feel for the power. Too bad it popped uptop. We'll get it fixed and figured out for next season. The goal is to get it in the 8s and in the 160s. I think it'll get there!

Dag man sorry to hear that! You should reach your goal no problem the car sound like a beast.

It's 10.5 It has GSC S3 cams too. It actually feels pretty peppy off boost too. I'm not sure if that's due to the 2g head or the fact that the car is pretty light.

I built this car in the garage too! It's not a shop built car by any means. I had the short block and head work done by Curt Brown but I did the assembly. I'll probably keep this car forever... It went from 100% stock in 2009 and getting me around at college, to a mid 400whp street car to an 800+ race/street car. It's been a fun ride and were just getting started.

Here's some pics of it.

Very nice my evo was tuned by nate at tpg as well :thumb:

What did you run at the track on that vid? cant make it out.

Also, car to share your HG setup? what head studs are you running and what head gasket? o-ringed?

thanks and have fun with the car!

Maybe this was already answered, but what fuel is the car on?

Matt,
Awesome car! I look forward to seeing you get it back to the track soon.

That roll out and granny shifting pass was 10.98 @152. I was shifting it slow because i was like .... holy s**t as the boost came in each gear. It's a whole new level from where the car was before. I defiantly need some more seat time.

It was a basic setup. L19s, oem mitsu MLS, non-oringed. I did not retorque the head studs so i think that my have contributed to the head lifting. The run wasn't logged so there is no data available to show anything. I haven't had the injectors tested yet so that may have been the cause, or the timing drifted or CAS failed. It was all brand new so it shouldn't have popped due to usage. Something failed and at this level, when things fail, things melt down! The block is fine and head is getting welded and resurfaced so it'll be good to go.
