While I was helping my buddy with his brakes, I decided to throw one of his rims on... What do you think? Good look or nah?

Looks like the whole wheel to me. Not bad.

I like it, love that color as well, only thing would be to replace center caps for some mitsu ones :thumb::dsm:
I'm trying to convince him to pass them along to me whenever he decides to go after market. And definitely needs new center caps... but Talon ones!

This design looks nice. Does feel like it would look even better if the rim was two-toned with lighter outside surface and darker 'walls' or sides of those spokes.

They looks good! Beats getting some pos rotas. Thanks for sharing, don't mind if i steal the idea haha.
Haha yeah, I don't recall ever seeing them on a DSM before. I'll probably end up getting something with a dish (because I'm in love with lips on a 1g) But, if he wants to give 'em to me? Hell yeah I'll rock them. Fitment is great FYI. The one I had on the was a 225, I'm pretty curious what the 245's he had on the rear of his G would look like. Maybe when he's here next I'll get all four on the car and post some pics for y'all!

That would look pretty mint! :thumb:

I don't like it. The DSM looks good (I love love love the 1gb Talon), the wheels have a subtle coolness about them, and the Infiniti looks sharp.
But to me, the 1g shape and style just dont jive with anything over 17". Even most 17s look a bit off on these cars. Similar to how 26" looks on an SUV. Kind of goofy.

To me there's nothing stylish about the narrow shaped 1g, which appears to have been designed after a doorstop. Aesthetically, the 1g is a bit more rugged and ugly looking- like a scrapy fighter from the docks. A Rolex would look out of place on him. I still think the 1g is cool looking but not because its good looking. Similar to why people think tanks look badass. Its not cos they have sexy lines.

So that's my opinion. More tire [more cowbell] for the 1g and less wheel.

You're absolutely correct here, 1g's are not classically beautiful and I think that's why I love them. They are scrappy fighters with a ton oh heart. My friend with the G35 hates the way the 1g looks, but has a ton of respect for them and understands why I like them.

I also agree that more tire and less rim looks better. I would never buy rims like these, but like I stated before, if I got them for free I'd probably rock them. That being said, they are not what I would personally buy.

Thanks for your input!

That's still a massive amount of tire. "Moar tire" can also lead to more sidewall flex.

Also *wheels

*wheel
That appears to be the stock sized tire mounted on that WHEEL.

I was always under the impression the G35 rims wouldn't fit without work to the centerbore. I'm assuming that test mount was plug and play?
Yes, they would need a little grinding to the center, but not much. Just stuck the one on there for show, only put three lugs on.

From the angles we can see, you have a clean 1gb. Nice car! The wheels, look pretty cool, too.
Hey thanks! Yeah, I take great pride in keeping it as nice as possible, like most of us DSMer's probably. A nice clean 1G especially with a tucked/clean engine bay can be a beautiful thing! I know my head always turns that little bit extra for a clean looking one!

I actually like it, but it needs a wider tire on that rim for my taste. I don't like how it looks like the tire is a tiny bit too small for the rim.
Yup, they are a bit stretched. But, my buddy just got the G and will get some better fitting tires on there soon.
