As mentioned, you can run the driver side airbag wiring through a resistor and this will prevent the SRS light from being triggered. You can find the needed resistor here.

Unfortunately, this alone will not turn off the SRS warning light. Once the dash light is on, it's stuck on. It can be reset by your local Mitsubishi dealer, but it is hideously expensive.

damm i just want it off without having to go thru a huge hassle its driving me crazy l.ol

You posted that you cut the clockspring wiring, but your horn is still working? Is that correct?

if you did cut the clockspring wiring and remove it, neither your horn or self-canceling turn signals should work.

ill post a picture basically what i have is the horn wire (green and red) attached to another wire being an extension I'm still trynna figure out a way of getting it to work properly because the wire swings around

Look a little farther back under the center console you can't miss it. You will have to remove it its not hard. Looks almost like an ecu harness.... Well it is an ecu harness LOL

So unplug this and the srs light should go away?

Take a pic of the cables you have coming out of the rack, and what you have on the wheel

I think it may be one of the ones you cut. Everything else is ignition and stuff

One of the wires may be the clock spring, and the other probably the horn, mine is all sealed up so i dont wanna look at the wires LOL. Why did you cut anything?

i cut the wires off the clock spring because i had no other way of getting around but i figured the horn is the green and red wire that i now need a way to get it connected to the horn button on the steering wheel >.>

mine is a momo eve wheel, i used a 2g adapter spline thingy and it looks stock. what wouldn't look clean? or you like the removable feature?

so basically I'm stuck with this guys idea but i don't wanna make it look like junk they way he's got it going like I've tried running the horn wire thru and into the steering wheel horn it worked but the problem is that the wire flies around when i turn the steering wheel >.> heres the video and at 2:48 is what i mean by messy even tho its a good idea

The only way of clearing it is to hook up a scantool. Generic code readers cannot clear the light. This is at least true for 2gs when I read it on ALLData at my shop

I'm not familiar with those codes but the SRS light is not under the Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Its under a separate tab in a professional scan tool. It's been years since I've had to clear mine so I can't help you navigate to where it is unfortunately. Shouldn't be too hard to find though...just explore the menus in your scan tool
