I almost bought a set of those 535's but all the pictures I saw of the sizes that would fit on a dsm without stancing it out had little concave, I think I'll likely end up with the 530's. I also heard they won't fit over evo brembos.

HA, so guess who is part of the cool kids club! this guy,

And yes, i did just post up some of these same pics in another thread, that's because they each relate.

So, a member wanted to see more pics; so here they are for all who may lay eyes upon this thread.

it was to see how they fit, I'm on stock suspension with cut springs "not my doing" and FYI the gaps in the body are there because things are held with few bolts and zip-ties, due to the car getting prepped for paint this summer, everything has to come back off again."the more you know"

20 or 25mm offset? i tought the factory was 46, so you cant have any offset lower than 15mm on each axle.
doesnt this rule apply in the US maybe? in my case, i need to get my hands on the 35mm offset ( and there's no 9'75" rims with that, dammit! ).

Looks awesome! What are your specs?

Looks awesome! What are your specs?
Spec are xxr527 chromium black 18x8.75 + 20mm with a 225 40 18R tire.

IDK about any rules. but 20 offset is what the EVOS are running, so this is how i was able to narrow down a choice, "to clear brembos" in one of the 1st pics, you can see how much space their is from the back of the spokes to the brembo; not much space. So i wouldn't go higher then 20 if you want to clear big breaks.

"Rule" or not, in any case, a difference more than 15mm on the axles could do harm to your veichle.
The eclipse got 46mm offsets, while Evo 5 - 10 got 38mm offset. so if i figured this right, 46 - 20 = 26/15 = 11mm, how much 1,1 centimeters can affect the axles, IDK. IDD the wheels looks sweet with your brembo brakes! Maybe i got this all wrong, so dont be upset :p

Not at all, and maybe your right, i have heard that it lowers the life of the hub but thats about it.

Nice!

Xxr527 are one of the sexiest wheels you can buy! Would love a set for my Evo.....one day! Gotta get over the rebuild cost and tune first.

hey keltalon how are yours holding up ?? wink wink more pics !!!!!:D
they are holding up pretty good! I ordered on 255 35 tire. I am going to mount it to the rim and see how it looks just experimental but if it looks good and there are no rubbing issues then I will order the other 3! I will post pics so others cam see another option.

Hey Keltalon!
I am planning on ordering the same rims, same size.
I am driving my car daily but here in Japan I must keep the wheels within the fenders, so could you confirm me if they will be ok.
Or should I try to go with thinner tires like 215 maybe?

Thanks !

Well I think the 8.75 stays within the fenders nicely, its hard for me to say it will be okay for you. Closely take a look at the pictures I posted in post #1 and examine closely you may determine that they will be fine for your intentions. keep us posted on your decision;)

You're in Japan, land of real wheels, and you're buying XXRs? My heart hurts.

How strict is the rule? I poke out a little on mine 225on 8.75

Thanks for your replies !
Keltalon > Yeah I think I ll try them, I am going to be stretched but I have no choice ;)
I took a look at the picture but difficult to judge... Do you have any pic from the top so I can see how it fits?

LandoAWD > It is esthetic LOL ;) I used to run BBS, but I didn't like them... Also XXR are very cheap and I love the concave design!

Miliman13 > well you can get a fine for that... It is not that expensive, but annoying if I get caught.
how much are you poking out?
