They are fun, but since having my last ar for 6-7 years, I don't like lugging those heavy beasts around. Its night and day holding them loaded.

I hear that, love my buddies AR. Just not in the budget this year. I will have one haha.

You need to find a bayonet for that thing, my dads has one and it makes it look mean.

Yeah, thats the only thing it was missing. Guy said he lost it.

QFT.

I get enough of a return to fill my gas tank 3 times. And that's it.
Just the way I like it.

I see it completely different. Its a free % based savings, that requires no work to monitor or maintain. And best part is, you cant touch it till february.

I've always claimed 0 exactly for that reason.

Its kind of silly not to imo. The gain per check is so marginal its not even noticeable. Plus you run the risk of having to pay in. And in that case, you were borrowing money from the gubment. And they dont accept late payments.

If you want to save money, get a savings account and earn interest. Or invest it somewhere that pays a dividend.

Living with a little less each week, only to allow the government to borrow it interest free, seems like the least desireable senerio to me.

You might have a serious problem if you put more trust in a government holding your money than yourself.

Interest rates on savings accounts are non existent.

Why? It doesn't effect you in anyway. And you must not have kids i take it. People without kids dont really get a return anyhow.

Lol, this is true.

But you cant lie, you've dipped into savings a time or two for something you wanted. Not even including the emergency situations that occur.

Interest rates on savings accounts are basically non existent so its not even worth figuring in.

We use our savings as it should be used. And tax time is for fun, vacation, car parts, toys etc. Works well for us.

Sorry this got way off topic.

It is true, savings accounts collect hardly any interest. When I was filing my tax returns I think I had to claim $31 from the interest from my savings account... :toobad:

I'm considering trying to ladder some CoD's with my tax return this year, see how much return on my investment I get to see if it's worth it.

Yeah good luck finding a 1%(cap), mines well below that. Even capped its not worth much to normal people.

My grandmother actually got me laddering cd's when i was 18. 5k min, worth doing if you're in it for the long haul.

I LOL'd when I read my quote, CoD's. LOL

Anyway, that's good to know that laddering CD's was worth it. I was going to ladder them starting with a 1yr @ $500 with a .55% rate going to a 5yr @ $1000 with a 2% rate, then just keep rolling them back into 5yr CD's until I'm coming up on the 5yr rate every year.

That Call of Duty ladder is pretty important now ROFL

Beats it sitting around gaining 0.02% interest.

We (my wife and I) got a return due to our student status. Not much though, just enough for new tires for the VR4, some maintenance parts for both cars, and a small shopping trip for her. The shopping trip was the most expensive... LOL

You have to love it when the ups man comes two days early :)

I haven't been able to get out and shoot it yet. It is however very comfortable to shoulder the rifle, it feels like a natural hold. Usually if I don't have a foregrip (like a grip-pod or regular handle grip) I will hold the rifle by the mag well with my off hand... its always been a habit and I know its not the most steady. But with this I can already tell I hold the gun more stable, and its so close to the reach of the mag well it doesn't feel much different.

I haven't filed a tax return in over five years. Fk the government. Now I keep what I earn. No more having my money stolen by thugs so they can spend it on manufactured war, or buy votes from illegal aliens.

Lol I'm surprised he hasn't been audited by now.

On topic, I had my valve cover and momo shift knob powder coated

I bought another 2g. Why you ask? Because I'm a masochist when it comes to fixing frankensteins.
Well, the title pretty much states all of the context of this thread. Just curious what other people do around taxmas time!

I put away the majority of my return then went and got me the following as a, "I've worked my ass off this year bonus".

Dpms Sportical AR 15 base model
Nikon P223 3-9x scope
Magpul moe stock od green
Magpul moe carbine length foregrip od green
Magpul moe pistol grip od green
Magpul trigger guard od green
Magpul angled foregrip od green
Magpul 30 round window pmags, 6 of them... in od green of course.

The gift that keeps on giving all year round!

Ill post pics when I get all the magpul stuff in. I had a coupon so I ordered it online for probably close to 25% off retail store prices, all I have at the moment is the rifle and scope... hopefully it all shows up by monday.

Here's a couple before pics

You're not another one of those "sovereign citizens" that are making headlines nowadays as the new fad, are you? If so, you'd probably be better off not using any of those other tax-funded programs or services.. or roads..

or water

because those tax paying people are suckers.

(not going near the war part, that's too much of a hot topic to agree with)

my refund? link.

sigh. where's the smilie for money escaping from wallet.
