Please post all the pics you can. I want to do this as well. I believe you have to cut your stock fenders before bolting on the new fender flares so when you put your wide wheels/tires on they don't rub.

OH MY GOD these look amazing! i cant make up my mind on which i like more the first ones you made or the second ones. what flares did you use the first time? would you mind if i pm'd you for some advice? im building a talon and want to the same thing i just want to go through the run through with you to get a better idea.

Hi guys, I know its been awhile since I last posted but I just want to give you an update on my redesigned flares. I took everyone's positive and negative opinion about the flares that I made and made a new one from scratch. Hopefully, this time around, you guys will like it.

The op pic is almost making me want to sell my 1g and get a 2g just to get those and put them on they are amazing looking

These are the ones I will use for now.

The rears turn out pretty good after mods done to them.

The fronts, I dont like them very much, but they will be ok for now.

Damn... now I gotta get some fender flares for mine too. Think CF will look good on White?

Damn just imagine how it'd look without the flares in the first pic of thre thread. The wheels would poke out sooo much :O

Can we please keep this thread going!?! personally I love the first OP flares! I like the rigid and boxiness to them! I also like the cf ones but they look a little to ebay for my taste, although a lil paint could fix that.. could we get someone to post a side by side of the two so we could point out the differences? anyway great thread guys!!

You Do Not have to cut your stock fenders just roll them if they rubber your wheels/tires
if your running wider tires then yes

Here is a Write up on how to do it the Correct way on any UNIVERSAL car if your retro fitting fender flares

where you can buy the flares

normal rear ZG version of approx. 2-1/4" flare. That's a whole 1-3/8" more width these offer! Might not seem much, but that's a lot more tire to fit.

The front wide ZGs are approx. 3-1/4" instead of the normal 2-1/4"!

FRONT FLARES: ~3-1/4" (~82.55 mm)
REAR FLARES: ~3-5/8" (~92 mm)

Here are the cheaper ebay which
Hence Mean a aggressive oem stock look and stance these can be installed on 2g 94-99 or 1g 89-94 DSM
fake cheaper ebay ones or the fiberglass kind

I know this is old, but I think you're car looks great man. I'm sure you'll enjoy it for years to come.

Hi everyone, I have been getting a lot of interest on the flares that I made. So i decided to make replicas. Im almost done making my mold. Hopefully by the end of the week, I can start producing some flares. There is also alot of interest on the first set of flares. Should I start making those too?

Thank you for all the comments, both positive and negative.

ajstrinidad I really like your new fenders the round ones I would see a write on them or how you installed them they really bring out your black eclipse gsx with FMIC and the cupa r lip on it

FYI, when I last spoke with Carbonetics Carbon Fiber, I was told they are making 2 different style of 2G flares and planned to have them ready for February. I guess that's now. :)

I wouldn't get your hopes to high Sergio doesnt have the best reputation..i drove 600 miles to try to pick up some stuff from him and he just flaked out and i went home empty handed

I PM'd you. I would definitely be interested in either set. Looking to run 18x10.5 or 18x11 wheels on my car. Wondering if you ever have issues with the tires hitting the cars fenders behind the flares?

Thank you for that write up! do you have any pictures of these installed of 1g's or 2g's I think I would need to see how they look b4 moving forward.

I have a very slight rubbing on the front driver side. Its very minor that a slight camber should fix it. And with the mold that I am making, i should be able to compensate and adjust a little bit so it would not rub. But as far as the car's actual fenders, I do not have any issues at all. That was my worry initially, but so far so good. I check my tires once in awhile, and fortunately i still do not see any damage to the tires or the fenders.

Once the mold is done how will we be able to get a set?

Well...once the molds are done. I will most likely start a new thread and see how much set I should/can make initially. Then after that it will probably be "made to order" type of thing.
