The 255 will overrun the stock FPR. If there is a 255 out there that doesn't whine, I just haven't found it yet.

They all whine. But, you can make it quieter with the rewire. It is fighting for voltage right now using the stock wiring. Do the rewire and it will get a constant good voltage feed and quiet down a little, but you will still hear it. But, the rise/fall of the sound with turn-signals will go away.

If you have a NEW fpr, you will be ok. But, if you are running the original stock FPR, then you are running the risk of it being overrun. If you do not know the age of your FPR, then get an AFPR to be safe.

It doesnt really. I ran my 255 with stock fpr for months and months. But an afpr is a good upgrade reguardless. But it does not over run it. A 400 does.

A rewire actually makes it LOUDER because more power isngoing to the pump making it able to work harder. At least in my experience.
