I am trying to find a way to contact a seller in Eureka, MO. Previous contacts do not know how to find him, claim he is phoneless and homeless, and one said he owes them thousands of dollars. He has been a member for a long time and has good feedback. He is believed to be around 31 years old. He has several 1g DSMs, recently parted at least one out, and claimed to have used a local shop with a well known (Indy) car engineer.

In accordance with the policies, I don't think I can name him or explain the story at all, but if anyone in the area recognizes this 20g turbo setup and can put me in touch with the previous owner, I would really appreciate it. He does not respond to email, txt (wasn't his phone to begin with), and the only contact I had has gone dark after he failed to come through with correcting our deal.

Here are pictures and a video of the parts I purchased. Please contact me if you recognize them and know how I can reach the seller.

This looks like sanponettas old car. i think this guy josh's brother now owns it. The guy josh posted on the local forum not to long ago looking for the guy to ask a few questions. the engine bay is what makes me think it was his. that was his profile pic on the local forum. i looked at his page and none of his pics will load for some reason.

Thanks for the info, doing a quick search shows the username saponetta over on Gateway DSM. The profile pic matches, as well as some other things.

Yeah, my brother bought the 1990 GSX from him. He's been difficult to contact at best.

I'm waiting for a car title from him currently.

Do you have any way to get ahold of him, or can you pass the message for him to contact me? I'm looking for any way to reach him, after his mom, the only way I had to contact him, has gone dark.

Interesting to see that he has logged in on the other forums a couple days ago, but appears to be avoiding dsmtuners.

I'm inching closer to reporting him to the FBI/White Collar Crime/Internet Fraud Task Force... The interaction I had with him so far fits a pretty common scam.

Also interesting to see that he continues to be active on the other fourms, including classifieds earlier this month.

I got the title from him tuesday, and I'm willing to bet that's the turbo, exhaust mani, injectors and fuel rail that came off the car we bought. Seeing the turbo has resulted in concerns with the car now.

I'm trying to track down some other members he mentioned when discussing the turbo.

He claimed the internals were upgraded via parts from a tuners member, I contacted that member and they said they can not recall selling anything to him.

He also mentioned a few other details that I'm following up on, but this is looking more and more like a scam.

Most of this ended up unfolding on the GatewayDSM forum, but I thought I should post this here as well.

What this user has done has not changed at all, he continues to refuse to take responsibility for his actions and his deals - but in his absence I reached an agreement for a partial refund payment plan with the person who holds the account he used when I paid him.

I will post any updates - if a payment is missed, or all are completed successfully, but for now, my complaint is resolved.

If anyone is reading this thread and considering dealing with him (like his current turbo ad in the GDSM classifieds). Just don't do it. Stay far away. I feel lucky I was able to resolve my issue, but please do not think it was him that resolved it - someone else stepped up to make it right.

There is still another member of both forums trying to reach him regarding being ripped off with invalid dealer information on a title and a money order scam.

Well, I said I would post an update if payments were missed, and after getting 5 of the 8 refund payments ($250/400)...they have stopped. No response from my contact for over a month. The member responsible didn't post on dsmtuners for most of the year (since this all unfolded), until now, when the payments stopped. Now he's posting again and the refund deal appears to be dead. :notgood:

I am a member on Gateway as well and saw he hasn't posted on there since April. And I also went to look at his posts to maybe help out and try and contact them, but they have all been deleted. I know it still stinks but, at least you got $250 back. That's better than nothing. Hope he still makes payments!

Edit: I wasn't logged in so i couldn't see his posts. And I also saw your conversation with him...Can't believe people do that to each other.
