Guys :(
I can't decide.
I got a 17 torch for my ta186 today....and can't decide if I should just get the 9 torch instead. Or both. AHAHAHAHAHAH, I'm going to pull my hair out.

My ck9 w/ superflex hose came in today, same one you posted for the diversion. Cant wait to try it out, still waiting on my gas lens and some more gas, i go through this 80lb fairly quick.

Ive decided to give 2% lanthenated tungsten (blue) a try whats your opinions?

Did you get it from HTP?
Love 2% blue and love 1.5% gold, both are lanthanted.

The torch yes I think the tungsten from usaweld or something it was like 16$ for 10 7" blue 5 3/32 5 1/16

Your kidding right? I just paid $32 for 3/32 1.5% LAN for a pack of 10 WITH my discount at local welding shop. I feel molested.

Damn nice. My torch came with a dinse connector I don't think it was supposed to.. its no big deal seeing as I can just unscrrw the the hose from it, but I also learned the stick slot on the machine which is dinse is directly connected to the m16 fitting so maybe I could just use it?! And plumb for gas.

I think I chose these over the other was the fact of the different sizes , but once I find my favorite I'll go with htp

It's not a car part, but I am 99% done with this lamp and will finish the second one tomorrow.

The heart of these lights are a MR BEAMS 985 spot light and a MR Beams flashlight 220 (I think 220 is the part number)

So here is how it works. Lights have 4 C batteries, flashlight is a flashlight but also has other buttons and plugs into the wall. When the power goes out it senses no voltage and the flashlight will automatically turn on and 2 seconds later the 985 spot lights automatically turn on as well. When the power goes back on the lights turn off by themselves. Or you can turn them on/off anytime with the flashlight/remote.

I had the bottom cnc cut and it's tacked together. The tops were cnc cut and welded together and ground smooth. It all came out ok. I did one with the mig welder and one with the tig welder.

Lessons I learned. With Mig welder a beveled edge is a must. Or you WILL have pin holes.

Filling pin holes with standard ER wire isn't recommended as they will still show up. Or get bigger as you get closer to them. It's a good idea to use stainless wire as it reacts different with oxygen and won't leave a void. So I went over all the pin holes with stainless wire and the tig torch.

If you are having pin holes then that could be either metal not clean, inadequate gas coverage, incorrect electrode stick out(distance of wire sticking out past the cup). Welding with the metal beveled insures proper penetration. Welding without a bevel and then grinding all the welds down will show you how much of your weld penetrated through to your base metal. If your not concerned with weld spatter you can weld using 100% co2 for alittle bit more penetration compared to running a 75/25 mix argon/co2.

I only have c25 and straight argon. I didn't bevel it so that is where the pin holes came from (I think) and I'm not a great mig welder too. Took me awhile to get it dialed in and it still wasn't perfect.
I'm also willing to bet my regulator sucks a fat one too.

I passed my Dual shield Cert. test. we did a V-Groove with a 1/4 Root opening and backing strip Vertical up weld. Both samples bent with no imperfections. ran it with E71T-1C wire and straight CO2 for shielding gas.
Failed the SMAW test it was a Open groove Vertical up weld as well with a 1/8" Root face and 3/32 Root opening. Used 6010 for the root pass and 7018 for filler and covers. Face bend bent with no imperfections, but root bend ripped open pretty sure it happened from a repair i had to do, do to not getting FJP in my test piece area. NO pics as the CWI took the pieces before i could get any.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6xymUKxF80]Stardard torch plug right into longevity 200sx! - YouTube[/ame]

Went out into the garage in my underwear so i could show you this video that i made.. It just literally plugs right in, the threads on are close to the m16 that it doesnt even start to bind, and gets a perfect seal, the dinse connector goes in and twists just like the ground cable.

Ok I am confused. Why did you order a torch when it wasn't made for your machine?
Yes it will fit as I see in your video, the dinse is a standard 25 and the thread is standard too.
Got me wondering though if you can convert the tig connector to the dinse or made it all a flow through dinse (more expensive).
Easiest thing is give me time to get the proper torch to the market, it's all ready just working out minor details.

I was just going to make a simple adapter for the 3/8-24 thats on the end of the hose and for the m16 on the machine. I have a thread going on the longevity forums discussing torch options.

There is a bus bar inside the machine that directly connect both slots to the same exact power source
