Lots of rust. Cant I transplant the 2G Timing Belts parts, as in camshafts and pulleys, tensioner, sprockets etc to my 1g with out issue?

It's been a while since I did the swap, BUT I know the tensioner is different between 1g/2g. The other thing I am questioning is the tensioner pulley, the one with the snake bite holes. If your 1g cams aren't rusted measure the max lobe thickness and compare to 2g,iirc there is like 0.020 more lift on the 1g cam and it's totally compatible with 2g.

tensioner pulleys are different but a 7 bolt pulley can be used on a 6 bolt block. The 2G tensioner is totally different then a 2g and will not fit, same for the tensioner's swing arm piece. there's apparently a 1mm difference in the idle pulleys. Not %100 on the cams but they look good anyways and I'd just use whatever style cams that the head is.

I am 100% on the cams. Just as long as they are turbo cams in the 1g they are 0.010 more lift than the 2g. I double checked with the build list on road race's site.
