Difference in clutch slipping in low rpms (1rpm - 3k rpm) vs high rpms (3k rpm and up)
Background
For over two years I can not seem to figure out what the problem with my car is. I did every maintenance and nothing seems to go right. I thought I was running lean, logs check out good, wide band shows consistent 14.5- 15.0 via idle or cruise. Thought car wasn't getting enough fuel, change filter and walbro 190. I thought my maf was bad. I replace and switch 3 different ones. I thought plugs, coils, wires were bad, change everything. Compression test checks out 185-190 ish across the board. Boost leaks none. Vacuum consistent 19- 17hg.
I had clutch slippage before that's why I bought all new clutch related parts. First time my clutch slip it was through out the rpm band.

Now I'm starting to suspect it's my clutch, that I never fixed it the first time. I change everything related from master, slave, ss line, act 2100, disc, pp, flywheel.
When the car is warm to operating temps and I apply gas about 50%. Boost will build but car will not move until like 3 secs until it catches and then it starts to pick up. The reason why I said difference in cltuch slippage IF ANY is Im not slipping in high rpms, say 3,4,5, gears but lower gears 1-2 and around 1000rpms to 3000 rpm.

Maybe it's just late and I need some sleep, but can you clarify if you ever changed the clutch at all?

If you did and it's still slipping you might want to consider a possible input shaft seal leak. I had that issue on my car and the seal itself wasn't bad but the seat where the input shaft seal goes was worn down. So regardless if I put a new seal, it will still find it's way through, the transmission fluid that is. Then it will drip down and onto the clutch. Brought down my transmission a few times till I got that sorted out.

Check adjustment as well. Have you properly adjusted your clutch? Please watch this video.[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYJxQyjIhUw]Proper Clutch Adjustment - YouTube[/ame]

IF you never changed the actual clutch, then it might simply just be time to change it.

3rd, 4th, and 5th aren't rpms. If your slipping at such a low rpm in your first few gears than chances are your clutch and/or pressure plate are worn. You slip in the lower gears easier than the higher gears because the engine accelerates quicker in in the low rpm area than it does at that same rpm in the higher gears.

yes and no, the clutch usually will slip sooner in a higher gear since there is more torque going through the clutch.

in any case, sounds like you gotta either badly adjust the clutch of take it apart and see if it is wore. it definitely sounds like its slipping.

LOL I watched that video so many times to a tee
Yeah one of the wise men say check the input shaft seal. I checked it and it is dry and still in good condition

It's just too odd because after the break in period say 500 miles I started getting on the throttle and launch it a few times to try it out. It still did the same thing... slip.

I will probably try adjusting it for literally the 7th time. Might be a charm.

On another note. Some times the clutch pedal will feel hard. Sometimes it will feel soft.
When I have the time I will post a video of my gauge. You will see boost needle move up quickly while rpm slowly climbs around the 2.5krpm- 3000rpm band.

If the pedal is inconsistent on it's feel it could be pedal pump up. If that's the case it's an adjustment issue.
