I've recently done several changes to my set-up. I started it for the 1st time yesterday and its only firing on three cylinders.

Is it possible for one side of a coil to go bad?

I checked the plugs, I checked the plug wire connections, I've swapped the plug wires to ones I know work (because Im using brand new wires). Its getting fuel, because the plug is wet.

Maybe I can check the plug connection to the coils? But It doesnt make sense as to why only one cylinder isnt firing.

It's a 97 GSX with 6Bolt swap. 2G head, with 1G CAS.
I've got my plug wires hooked up like this

Just for the hell of it I even tried hooking up the plug wires like a normal 2G (it didnt even want to start, obviously wrong)
Also I tried tuning off the non-97 CAS function in ECMLinkV3 (oddly enough that didnt seem to make any difference)

Any suggestion you might have for me would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

If you really think #4 isnt firing because of the coil pack, swap #1 and #4 and test again.

How would that work? Wouldnt it be firing out of order and not run correctly (even if the coil was good)?

It's so odd. I can unplug #4 plug wire and its runs the same so it's def #4. I disconnected all the plug connectors and made sure they're clean. It still runs the same.

Anybody else have a suggestion?

You can swap wires 1 with 4 and 2 with 3 all you want. Cyl 1+4 fire at the same time. Likewise with 2+3. That's why there are only two coil packs.

You can swap the packs around if you pull the CAS off and turn it 180. So wires 1+4 would then go to where 2+3 are.

It has always been my understanding the coil pack either works or doesn't. So if #1 is getting spark and #4 is not getting spark I would look at the wires and plugs.

This is wrong...

by putting your cas in 180 out your injector firing order will be out of phase... it will do nothing to your spark plug wires..

OP if you are running on 3 cylinders and have determined spark on all four.. Do a compression test .. If compression is good then you may have a faulty fuel injector/wiring to the fuel injector ..

thx for the suggestions

Compression is good all across, and the plugs all seem to be fuel (saying this because they all get fouled)

Just wanted to update this (although I'm a bit embarrassed about it)

Boost line from the bottom if my Intake Manifold to the MAP sensor had come undone. I couldn't see it because all my wiring and sensors are hidden under the intake. Only way I found it was by getting frustrated enough that I decided to take everything out so I could check my wiring/sensors. A pain in the butt and I get real dumb once I saw the boost line off the MAP sensor.

Anyways thanks to everybody who helped. & Add check MAP sensor to the reasons why a 4g63 might sound like a Subaru LOL
