2G Replacing Keyless Entry?

I was just wondering if anybody has had any experience with replacing keyless entry. I believe my car had it, but no longer has the remote (was not with car when I purchased) and I would like to replace it, and find out how to go about programming it or learn what needs to be done. Also curious if a trip to SATAN will be necessary to get her unlocking again. If there is already a thread on this please redirect me, or post the link. I tried to search but didn't seem to find what I was looking for. Thanks!

I just called my local stealership a week ago about this and they told me it would about $150 for a new remote and sync to car.

I would have liked to of heard a lot smaller of a number (for hitting a few buttons 150 is just ridiculous.) I swear there should be laws against the costs of auto repairs sometimes. Feel like you had a gun held to your head and you were robbed of everything by the time you walk out of the dealer. I never feel good when I leave a shop. Worried the problem wasn't fixed, they did not do something properly or even worse they charge you X amount of dollars for 3 hours of labor, while the job actually only takes them a half hour. Crooks.

I'm agree with dealer reaping off and we only should use them when there is no choice, unless that's what I do, I use them only when ordering parts, which gasket and parts are one of the best quality.
