Anyone tried angle milling any of the cast manifolds? Seems like a little angle at the mounting point would go along way. COudl also angle mill teh turbo mounting flange. Enough to clear a holset anyway.

I may actually give milling the 2g manifold a shot and if it works ill try it with the Fp manifold.
Thanks.

Awsome thread! It has all the info I was looking for.

I am running the DNP T4 Manifold on my HX40 setup and everything clears just fine.

Now If I can only get the wastegate port to stop cracking, Poor excuse for what is supposed to be a quality Manifold.

I have a hx35 and want to go with the 12cm divided t3 husing but I have an stock 2g stock manifold. I was curious if anyone has tried the 1/2 thick dsm to t3 adapter with success? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=37936485800

This setup is for my auto gsx. Im trying to get the spool as fast as possible to kep from having to restall the stock TC.

Yes this is pretty much the same question I asked for my gst but with a hx35 instead of the hx40.

JUst thought i'd add that with a T3 5 bolt style turbine housing machined to accept the hx35 turbine (possibly hx40 as well) you can use the Turbonetics cast manifold. I've been running it for a while now in this fashion

Time for me to post. I bought one of the cheapo godspeed turbonetics manifolds, and here it is with a 12cm holset housing bolted to it. It clears the block with 2 3/8" nuts slid over the studs to space it out.

One thing I did notice, is that the bolt holes for the turbo, are off about .5" in comparison to the outlet hole. Meaning the if you matched up the gasket to the exhuast "port", you'd have to move the bolt holes .5" out. I'm not sure of a good way to do this, but if you could a 12 housing would fit with a extra flange thrown in there.

I'm currently running the HY35 on this manifold, and it required a bit of massaging to get it to fit. It cleared the block by about 0.040" from just grinding the rib off the TH. I wanted more clearance so I had my machine shop mill the TH flange at a 2* angle, now I have about 1/4" of clearance. Right afterward, I noticed the bolt hole misalignment. This places the turbo right up close to the block, so that you can squeze a stock fan in there, which was my goal. There's plenty of room in the for a 2.5" o2 housing, and I think I can get a nice pie cut 3" in there too. The only drawback is that its tight to the water pipe, and putting an intake pipe on it is a pain.

I have the CX Racing t3/t4 manifold on my 7 blade hx35. I had to dent the water pipe ever so slightly and it fits great.

That definitely looked alot like punishment racing budget manifold. :hmm:

yea im pretty sure theyre the same i ordered mine from cx racing on ebay then my buddy told me it looked like the punishment racing budget mani and sure enough they look exactly the same so im not sure who actually makes it.

Let us know how well that works out for you. I bought the same thing for my Holset and it ended up like this after a month.

Dont mean to bump an old thread, but I see alot of .55 bolt on housings or the twin scroll housing setups.

Does anyone have specifics on the T3 single scroll BEP housing on an HX35 as far as fitment goes? I was looking into an FP manifold but all I can find is the bolt on style, so it seems like I may be forced into a tubular manifold?

The obx t3 ramhorn and stock hx35 clears the water pipe by an inch.
How long have you had it for??^^
Has anyone else noticed OBX stepping there game up on the quality or are the pics just all sho n no go?? Ive been seing alot of mani's and there's dont look like they have half ass'd welds. This is what im just gettin from pics tho so it could be completely different.

I have little almost 6,000 miles on me cheap ebay exahust manifold and boosting my holset to 33psi and havent had 1 issue with it. its even been threw summer heats off over 115 deg out here in az and still holding up strong! Just thought i would share this with everyone. This ebay header i bought for only like 100 bucks.

Is it confirmed that this manifold:

Wont work? I don't have money for a manifold but found this one for a good price.

that one works if you get a 5 bolt style T3 turbine housing and machine it for the CHRA and turbine wheel, the 4 bolt BEP or Tim's housing wil hit the block.. I havemachined several of these for people and you cna PM me if you're looking at this as an option. personally i love cast manifoldsbecause they dont' suffer the problems of tubular ones (especiallyu cheap tubular ones)

Ok explain. I'm on the 12cm Holset HX35 Turbine housing.

The dnp mitsu flange with waste gate provision fits the hx40 with mild water
Pipe contact, it kinda bents it when you tighten it up but it's like not even a bigger dent then a contact
Lense. Id recommend it this is with .55 ar
Bep. Sits a Lot lower then my previous precision hot side and im able to get away with the AC fan retrofitted as the main fan. hope that will be enough to keep the temps down.
