The Car is a 90 Eagle Talon Tsi awd some of you may have seen the car around a few other threads as I've had it for a years. It's been a long hard road with many ups and downs. Last year the season ended with a best 1/8th mile pass of 7.0@114mph. I ended up shearing every tooth off of 3rd gear prior to making it to the 1/4.
Here is a run down on the build.
4g63t 2.0 turbo
standard wiseco 9:1 pistons
Manley rods
Fully balanced block
280 cams bc singles (soon to be switched to manley duals)
DMF custom top mount foward facng exhaust manifold
dmf intake manifold
Haley ported head.
The car was a 5 speed car with QM twin disk and shep trans. It is in the process of being switched to auto.
I also picked up some sponsors this year which are deMartino fabrications and Ostar motorsports
so far picked up a set of bc racing coilovers with custom spring rates from Ostar.
Along with the diy afco upper and lower control arms.
DMF and myself will be installing all the parts including the new 2g auto with kiggly 6bolt to 2g transmission kit, sinister speed 8" converter with 4500 stall, kiggly front clutch kit, and blue wire mod.
The goal for the car is to jump from the previous best of only an 7.0 pass into the low 6's in the 1/8. The car is hopefully headed the right direction and with the help of deMartino fab and Ostart hopefully this will be one of the best seasons yet. I will be keeping this updated with pictures of parts install and progress as the season goes on.

Here are some more pics of the car. Selling my cams and trying to figure out something to upgrade to now. I'm trying to get all the parts I need together so when we pull it off the trailer it will be ready to get knocked out without waiting for much. I will keep posted as soon as I get more parts in or the car comes off the trailer.

I LOVE THE TURBO FACING THE FRONT! I just fell in love....haha! Great Build! I always loved the idea of cutting the hood above on the hood, for example, where the top of the turbo touches the bottom, so people say, "OH SHIT!"

IIRC he'sn running a PTE6765 turbowhich is the upgrade from the 6776 i had, a solid 750+HP turbo :)

Yea I've been slacking on the build thread or even the build for that matter. Figured I'd post some updates now that the car is off the trailer and actually getting worked on.
Head is off the car changing out the bc singles and bc 280's to kiggly beehives and gsc s3 cams. Got the head checked and a new head gasket for it. I have a week vacation from work coming up and plan on getting alot more done. I will make sure to actually update this thread as the car keeps progressing. :thumb:

motor is back together transmission is back together and in car with converter in. Working on getting axles right having trouble with the passenger axle length right now. I'll add some pics of progress soon. We had an oil fire in the garage which resulted in my buddy getting second degree burns. He is fine and we will get back on the car before too long.

can you feel a difference without the rear sway bar? im thinking of deleting mine in foavor of some AFCO lower arms...

Nice build, what suspension is that?

BTW, I'm a Lightning owner so you can only guess how fond I am of the TBSS (sarcasm...) LOL.

Bc Racing coilovers and the diy afco control arms.
I'm a fan of the lightning, but the tbss has all the room and power I need!

What FMIC is that? It looks like it would allow you to keep the fog lights, which is one reason im interested. Also, I got a set of FD wheels to go on my 1g when I get back to the states. What size spacers did you need to get them to clear? And did you NEED or use extended studs? aftermarket lugs needed?

thx

I really noticed this car last year at the DSM Shootout and it's only getting better this year. Nice work!:thumb: Can't wait to see it get up and running fully and I hope to see it at the Shootout again this year. Way to represent the DSMs in WV!

The intercooler is a cx racing 5" thick core with the original outlets moved from the bottom to straight back. It isnt something you could throw in without modification. As for the fd wheels I think it was 10mm spacers and some grinding on the control arms. Don't quote me on the spacers though. You might wanna do some searching. No extended studs or other modification to fit those. They use acorn style lug nuts.

Well dee made it out last night and we made some progress hoping to have axle situation figured out this eve :)

Ok fitment issue looks to be solved with a little machine work. Will be testing strength as we goto the track. If anyone else attempts this swap and runs into same issues as me the custom axle will be available for purchase
