I can not get evo scan2.9 to work with my ceddy mod flashed ecu. I put the xml file ceddy provides into the datta setting files but when i open evoscan it tells me that some thing are duplicated. Also ceddys file does not show up in the edit datta settings pull down once in evoscan. then when I try to logg it tells me that almost every thing is duplicated tps injector scalling latency and much much more it tells me I must rename one of every option.

Which version of windows are you using? I believe you may need to install it in another directory *outside of program file*

It may also have something to do with updating too. If you had a previous version of it, even if you un-installed it, you need to delete ALL the evoscan files because some are left over.

Unless there are updates for our specific hardware ... I won't update.

hmmm..did you look at the updates:

Updated Map Tracer for fast tuning and built-in direct map editing
• Faster datalogging and other performance improvements.

^^hmmm these gotta mean something right:aha:

Sounds to me like they would ;)

I am running windows7. I tried other versions with no luck as well I will try to delete everything and install it some where other than program files. But I do not think thats is the issue. It seems that when I put Ceddys file into the DattaSettings folder that it has some duplicated suff and confuses EVOscan. I also tried lower versions with no avail.

I deleted and reinstalled. When I place Ceddys xml into dattasettings and launch evoscan it tells me that EFI, AYC, ACD, ABS, TCU in Mitsubishi MUTIIxml have duplicate ecus.

I got 2.9 to work but it would not log the injectors, it logs everything except the injectors. I then went to 2.7 and now I can't get ecu flash nor evoscan 2.7 to work. I've tried unplugging the openport and trying it again, that didnt work. I have a 97 so I had to add the pin in the ecu I tried unplugging that and that didnt work, I ended up breaking the pin I added so now Im waiting for another one to come in the mail. I had to put my eprom back in my car and Im starting to get fed up. Im so close to selling it all and going back to a keydiver chip or dsmlink.

Did you delete the folder it makes in my documents?

What request ID is 2.9 using for Injectory Latency %? I'm going to install 2.9 on a laptop Ive never ran it on before, I'll let you guys know what happens to see if it's an update issue or the program all together. But yes evoscan has an issue with Windows Vista and (possibly?) 7, but the workaround that Ceddy explained was to use another directory outside of Programs called something like "ProgramsXP", the name isn't important, it has to do with the way windows uses their filesystem. You would think a program designed for windows would fix this but it's not the case.

Installed it and it works fine on another laptop I've never used. I think I like 2.8 better than 2.9 though. Might want to make sure the folder in My Documents is deleted, 2.9 wouldn't load when I tried putting Ceddy's XML file in the DataSettings folder, the program told me to make sure there weren't pre existing folders from an earlier version. This is exactly what happened to nuclearr, removing ceddy's file fixed it, I haven't looked too terribly closely at logs, but from what I can see, IDC % and everything else is working fine.

Ok cool. So did you not have any other versions of Evoscan on the laptop? I want to try it when I get home. Where did you put the Ceddy files? I used the instructions for version 2.7 and everything logged except IDC%. I just want to know what did you do differently to get it to work.

well I removed 2.9 and installed 2.8 it just locks up when I try to log. The programs stops responding. I can however check and clear dtc's

I'm having problems with 2.9. Wont let me log at all. I kept getting the error message "Please select a DTC Method/ECU first. Most vehicles support more than one method". So I uninstalled and went back to 2.8 and everything is fine now.

so wait, is evoscan 2.9 just not working correctly with ceddymods or not working right period?

As of right now I can not even get 2.8 to work. It just freezes up when I try to log.

Could my issue be that I am trying to log via my openport2.0?
