They were $370 when they first started listing them on eBay....probably haven't sold a single one. Keep waiting, the price will become more affordable.

Interesting....

I just sent him an offer of 80 bucks for the 20g billet wheel. He declined my offer. If you check the sellers history you will see he sold one 20g wheel for 80 dollars. He had a one day sale, where he sold a 20g wheel for that amount.

He sent me a counter offer of the total amount......250. This didnt make sense to me at all, that was the full price of the wheel, why even have the offer feature.

I am with you Jus, I am waiting until these wheels decline in price. I really want to get a 20g billet wheel and push it beyond the compressor map. Also I really want to do a weight comparison between billet and standard 20g wheels.

TD06sl2 20g w/clipped blades = Teh sex

I wish the TD06SL2 was a genuine mitsu part.......

It really seems to be an awesome answer to turbine wheel options. Although FP td06h aero is awesome, its way to much to purchase from them. I cant find their catalog and pricing, I know Jus sent me the link once. If it I find it I will post it.

edit: I found there 2012 price list, but it does not have any turbine wheels listed.

The TD06SL2 turbine was to replace a clipped 05H as a better-flowing option....why would you suggest clipping a TD06SL2?

TD06H4 isn't MHI either. ;)

Because it sounds fancy? Obvs.

In seriousness, I thought by clipping the blades you would get even more flow, so more top end at the cost of a poorer spool. Or is my understanding flawed?

Air flow is my least knowledgeable trait. Well, that and coloring (I can't for the life of me stay in the lines).

I dont think you need to clip the wheel until the compressor wheel outflows the turbine wheel.

td06/6h wheel can go beyond the 20g compressor.

But if the TD06SL2 turbine already flows enough to support a 20G compressor, why recommend a clip which costs $75-$100, requires the turbo to be completely disassembled, and adds lag without any additional airflow benefit?

That's the turbine that's in my 20g, combined with a 3076r compressor wheel and a stock compressor housing machined to fit the wheel makes for a very sneaky, nasty combo. A stock looking 20g that flows 50+ lb/min:thumb:

that does sounds nasty

I know people have record 49lbs with the 20g pushed to 25 psi.

Because I thought the 20g compressor wheel out flowed the h/sl2 wheel. Again, my miss-understanding.

My initial thought was to do a billet 20g wheel on a td05h just for break-in

Jus I still never used that HX40 Pro you rebuilt for me LOL.

However I do want to try the above setup (20g TD05H) just to see if I would use it in my DD fwd.

I'd like proof of this. A few local guys ran 05H 20G's on cars with well-calibrated airflow logs and it never exceeded 44-45. If 20G's can make 50+ at 25psi, then the 68HTA and T04E50 Garrett-based hybrids (old-school Green, etc) are a complete waste of time and money.

I apologize, I exaggerated, it was 49lbs logged.

I have edit my statement, thanks:thumb::thumb:
