Yea, called a few junkyards, all the mitsu ones. PickNPull. I think I found one in the classifieds though. As for the 4 doors... *shrugs* I'd like a GVR4 or an EVO, but I've got the GSX already :)

yea, i miss my 2g gsx , good car unlike my 1g gsx that was the biggest lemon i ever owned LOL.

I work for an auto parts store in Carmichael an one of my commercial accounts is a smog shop an I think he could or might be able to help out if you guys can let me know what you guys have or are worried about not passing smog let me know so I can talk to him about it an get back to all of you

Which parts store? I've seen an eclipse with a dsmtuners decal at o'reilly - that yours?

I think my biggest problem is a smog guy that will smog with the FMIC. I know they're legal, but it seems like a lot of smog guys are afraid of any modified cars. I'm waiting on an air box to arrive, I just have an open K&N right now. After that, I'm pretty sure I'm okay.

I've got the stock intake into a 14b with 3" pipes and a 24x12x4 intercooler. I've got a 2 1/2" stainless RRE down pipe, and a 3" after cat exhaust.

the downpipe might not pass ..

i dont know the guy but mine passed with fmic n KnN filter (w carb #) and all the mods in my profile (stock downpipe though)

Haha ya that's mine :D ya the only thing that I'm thinking might not pass is the downpipe other then that he was saying he can work with an after market fmic an the open eliminate should be an ok...

I'm also on the lookout for a shop too. Recently took the talon out from non-op, but need to know if anyone knows a place in Sac so I don't have to drive all the way back to Vallejo just to smog.

Mods are in my profile (minus the downpipe). I last had it smogged in 2012 and it passed the sniffer test no problem. PM me please!

Sure, here you go

Flying under the radar really is the key. I went to smog a while back with my FMIC at a local shop and the guy freaked out about my shiny piping and blow off valve. Powder coated the stuff black went back to the same shop on a different day with a different guy and it got right through. Maybe it was the second guy not caring as much but ill tell you for sure with the black piping nothing jumps out at you when you pop the hood saying hey I'm not stock.

There's a shop in Carmichael that has smogged my car pretty much with whatever I wanted to put on it as long as it wasn't visibly illegal (external wg, adjustable bovs, etc.). I had a 3.5 in ic core, most vacuum sources were capped off, shiny ass upper ic piping, Greddy intake, boost/af gauges, ecmlink, full 3in exhaust with 4in fartcan. I do have a stock turbo so idk if that made a difference but the dude seemed pretty cool about it all becuause he said none the "mods" actual change the performance of the car and if anything made it run worse since I have no way of tuning it (ddnt know I have dsmlink equipped ;)

Anyway the smog tech there was very knowledgeable and knew what was acceptable and what wasn't even though most smog stations would turn you away for the simple mods on your car.
It's right on the corner of Eastern Ave and Arden Way.
