Did you do a boost leak test before posting this question?

No I did not but are my vaccum hoses hooked up corectly?

Just a side note it looks like you hooked the line to recirculate your BOV up BEFORE the throttle body :nono: needs to go on after your throttle body to prevent surging.

And I believe you are missing a line on the top of your wastegate it should go to your boost controller then to your turbo I think, its hard to tell from this angle could just be a vent port.

I read that the top line of the wastegate is just suppose to vent and the side line gets conected to the boost controler. Its connected turbo housing to boost controler to wastegate. thanks ill connect bov after tb

As long as your sure that the line on top is the vent line then I would say that its good to go. I would move on to leak test.

I Switced the hose on the waste gate still nothing.

Well yeah, a vacuum line isn't going to eliminate your ability to make boost. Exhaust spins the turbine which in turn is spinning the compressor wheel which then produces positive airflow.

Either A. Your shaft is seized up (doubtful)
B. You have a big exhaust leak pre turbo
C. You have a big leak in your intake system somewhere
D. You have many small leaks in your intake system

A. See if the wheel spins by hand
B. Start the car and feel around for any leaking exhaust or look for carbon
C. BOOST LEAK TEST
D. BOOST LEAK TEST

Be sure to use soapy water and pressurize to at least 10psi higher than the boost level you are going to run. Don't rely solely on sound, look for bubbles.

1 what rpm have u turn the motor to sense you turbo it. Do u have a fuel defender hooked up.( I don't see a missing link).your oil and drain should be at 12 an 6 o'clock( straight up an down) yours look to be at 11 an 5. Have u check for shaft play.

I found my boost leaks.I did A boost leak down test and was leaking on a couple couplers and the turbo housing was also leaking like crazy. I tried tighting them as much as I could with out striping the threads out. It looks like I need a new seal and its a brand new turbo.

Just a quick question.

Are you saying it's not building boost just because you rev it up a little (when there is no load on your engine) and see no boost on your gauge?

Or have you taken it out on a drive to see if it will build boost when the engine is actually under a load?

You need a fuel cut defender or missing link so your car lets you go in boost..eBay Turbo kits don't all come with one. But also an eBay Turbo kit is the biggest waste of money. My first eBay Turbo lasted 1 WOT pull and the seal blew and would leak out the side of the Turbo, probably what your going through.

After you fix all your other issues take the car for a drive and see if it will boost when the engine is under load. Do a 2nd or 3rd gear pull and see what happens.

i am amazed at the help this forum gives. The other forums i am on would have already had 18 pages of flaming and a lock on it.

To the OP good luck. Just so you are aware there are metal gaskets that are much thicker for the turbo housing. It helps in tightening up that area. Also what r u tuning with. I dunno if just WOT pulls are a good idea

I did not know you wouldnt get boost if you are not moving thanks.

Im not tuning with any thing just trying to go for 5 psi.

Best way to build boost while sitting is by using anti-lag.

You do have ALL the proper fuel mods to run the turbo? Stated above, you need to rotate your center section to have the inlet and feed vertical (12 and 6 position). You did use soapy water too?

Sometimes just tightening down the clamps isn't enough with the couplers. It may work better removing it and tightening it down on a different spot. Sometimes what happens is the clamp is just enough over the lip to allow a leak and any kind of tightening will not fix that issue.

from being parked, you will see no boost, but you should at least see vacuum moving if you rev a little. as one of the other posters said, the wastegate top nipple def needs to be connected to the MBC as well.

Yes I do. I just dont have the missiing link. Yes I used soapy water.

I do see vacum. Ive looked around online and there alot of ways to hook up the boost controler.
