I finally have my car running pretty damn good. The only problem I am having is it has a hard time starting on cold starts. Only has problems on cold starts. Hot starts it will start and hold idle instantly. On cold starts it will start go to about 1500 rpms then drop to like 700 rpms and die. I have to give it has and hold it at about 1500 rpms for maybe 20 seconds then it will hold idle (1000 rpms) really good. Car drives really good, holds idle good, etc. Almost all parts are very new that would effect this. Fuel pump, fuel filter, FPR, all have less than 5000 miles on them. No boost leaks either. All sensors etc are all good. Motor has less than 500 miles on it and all sensors were checked or replaced and installed by Buschur. I am thinking it is a tuning issue. I can post a log of me trying to start it if needed. Just wondering if anybody has any ideas.

I had same problem as you after installing my tranny and head. I guess when I was installing the tranny , as I was on top picking it up and guiding it in I accidently pulled on harness(were Coolent temp sensors ect) are and the two wires that go into the coolent temp plug, one of them had broke off. For like a week I had cold start issues, and like you I had to hold it up at high idle till it warms up..it took me a week to notice that wire had came off. So maybe check that

Good answer, I was thinking the same exact thing. A bad coolant temperature sensor (or one that's not connected) will cause the car to run roughly on initial start ups.

I don't think the problem is the coolant temp sensor. It reads close to the outside temp before I start the car via dsmlink. Any other ideas? Did a boost leak test again and again and I couldn't find one leak. I am changing my throttle cable today b/c the old on is kind of sticking a little but I doubt that has anything to do with the hard starts.
