Since i am a "newb" and can't ask a question in the appropriate sub-forum (weird rule IMO) i have a PTE 6262 question i have not been able to find in this forum and among the internets.

I have a the JM Fab bottom mount exhaust manifold, and it is flanged at the turbo for the Tial V-band flanges.

I want to use a PTE ball bearing 6262, but i am unsure of a few things.

1.) is the Tial flange the same size as the PTE V-band in/out housing?

I am unable to find flange dimensions on the 6262 V-band housing.

2.) if it is not, will the tial housings fit on the 6262 CHRA?

Any help would be appreciated, as well as suggestions on using a .68 or .82 turbine A/R for my setup:

272/272 Kelford
Ferrea valvetrain
built motor
JMF intake and exhaust manifolds
Tial gate and BOV
Link V3
VRSF FMIC Kit

No the flanges are not the same. The step inside the exhaust housing is deferent. They will not work with each other.

I bought a 6262 ball bearing with a t3 vband inlet and outlet .82 housing. I cant wait to really see what this turbo can do.

i have a 6262 t3 .63 a/r and i love it!!!!!!!!!!!! it starts to spool around 3400 and its full boost by 4500, thats at 22 lbs. i cant wait to see what its gunna do at 30+ lbs with meth. and yes i have the supporting mods to run that LOL, 96 tsi 6 bot swap, wiseco+eagle rod combo, ported n polished head 1mm oversized valves, bc springs and retainers, 3g lifters, magnus intake manifold,bc 280 cams, 1000cc injectors. v3 n meth LOL its a great turbo, before my stock 6 bolt went,it was breaking the tires loose, andmy car is awd LOL!!!! good luck man

I can't really help you but I would suggest changing the VRSF FMIC out for something with more flow capability. With your setup and turbo selection, I would expect you are going for some pretty big power.. Not too sure what the VRSF is actually capable of holding but just a suggestion.

so i guess i have two options:

purchase PTE v-band flange for manifold and modify JMF manifold with new flange

buy a Garrett 35R with tial v-band housing

I might as well add since I can't find a whole lot of info on the PTE turbos in general but do they need a restrictor of some sort for the Journel Bearing PTE's? What is recommended the best to run the oil feed line, fron the OFH or the head?

pte rquires oil restrictors for ball bearing turbo, otherwise the volume of oil will blow out turbo seals. use a -3AN restrictor, for ball bearing turbo, journal bearing your good without. i have pte 6262 oil pump fed and an evo three manifold ported by me and external gate welded on by me... yes i know that its next to impossible to weld to cast and it hold. well i did it and its been supporting the weight of my pte gate for several years now on many different cars. i am looking into other manifolds now with using the 6262. i have the 63 ar and love it. turbo is a freakin monster wen it hits!
