any good websites that sell "real" 20g's for fair prices

or my best bet is to buy a hahn 20g?
i know most of you will say yes but they get pretty pricey and i was wondering if there were any websites out there that actually sell real 20g's for fair prices

oh yeah i forgot about forcedpeformance, now is that a real 20g? i mean thats almost like "godspeeds" price range and godspeed is the ebay shit. i know hahn 20g's can get up to over a thousand bucks

It all depends on what you want to do with it. That 450 HP is enough for the 10s. But you have to remember that 10.7 was probably tuned and on racegas, with the car lightened. So are you going to see that on the street on pump gas? Never... 12s maybe 11s is reasonable. And never been a Hahn racecraft fan.

EDIT: Just realized youve got a GST. 13.1 is closer to what you will probably see. And it will be almost impossible to keep the tires from spinning on a GST. It will be a highway monster without a doubt.

You're not going to find a direct-fit bolt-on 20G for a DSM because they don't exist. The 20G was never offered as a factory upgrade for our platform. Any DSM bolt-on 20G you'll find has been built by someone other than Mitsubishi.

You can buy the FP 20G and also purchase a 7cm DSM bolt-on turbine housing, then modify the existing actuator to work with the new housing.

Finding a TD06H 20G will be even more difficult because the TD06H turbine was never used in the DSM bolt-on platform, so using one of these turbos requires a 7cm DSM bolt-on turbine housing to be machined to accept the larger wheel.

Ahhhh gotcha, thanks guys for the input. So limegrntln, you think I wont be able to hit 11's at all? Even if I'm pushing 600hp? I mean straight up nice ass slicks good suspension, the whole works. Because I was going to buy a precision 6265 which can push out to 700 it says but I mean that's a lot of HP for a daily driver. I guess 500hp would be good for me right now. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good priced good quality, EXTERNALLY wastegated turbo?

It sounds like you don't really know what you want to me. You said 450, then 500, now 700, and then throw in "daily driver"? Unless you have lots of disposable income, incredible restraint behind the wheel, are a good mechanic and an exceptional driver, you probably won't want to daily drive a 500+whp FWD DSM, especially in New Jersey winter.

Make a firm decision and pick a goal that isn't based on internet bragging rights but what you truly want from your car. Then research the route you want to take to get there, full-weight vs stripped-out, etc. Make a loose budget and plan the build knowing you'll probably exceed it by another 1/4 to 1/3.

You don't need to achieve stratospheric power numbers to have a nice fun street car. In a FWD that will see a lot of street use, 350-400fwhp is usually plenty, and will get you into trouble much quicker than you realize.

A 20G is a good reliable turbo, and one possibility I'm actually looking at for my own current build. But I have AWD and my only goal is lower than 12.0 on pump while hauling my big butt in my non-daily driver.

That 700 I was referring to the precision turbo and how much it can hold, the 450 I was questioning about on the 20g's cause I forgot that's how much id really only push out of them, I don't want 450 I want 500 or better. And I did come to the realization that 600-700 would be pretty intense for a fwd DD car. But I did want to have one of the fastest fwd dsms, look at all the Honda's that are in the 10's or less they're fwd, and look at those people who drive 800hp evos or supras as daily drivers. I mean fwd high power and daily driving isn't too bad, in the winter yes that'd be a totally different story, but id buy a beater for the winter.

And I'm not trying to brag or anything I'm just asking questions and getting opinions. And where I live you need high numbers to have fun around here 400 doesn't really cut it. A lot of kids I know and hang with have high HP cars, I'm trying to be up there with them.

Bottom line is this: my original goal was 600-700 like I said I wanted to be one of the fastest fwd dsms out there. Over thinking this, yes I do have a fwd, I'm not going to be driving around with slicks obviously. 500-550 is my goal. I was thinking of a 20g before but they're internally wastegated and only push out 450 with a good tune. I'm looking for a good decently priced externally wastegated turbo. I know I can weld the flapper but I'm not looking to do that. My HP goal is high because of the people I hang with and the crowd that we hang with. There's a lot of competition here and I need to keep up. My 16g wont do the job.

just had justin (jusmx141) rebuild my real MHI 20g and im about to send him my Hahn Super 20g so if anyone is interested in the hahn's racecraft one pm me. But i just sold my 1g awd that i had the MHI 20g and let me tell you that f**ker was bad. And my 95 tsi (fwd) that i had the hahns on was a little to much. If i would get on it hard from a dig or a stop it would appear that i was drunk driving if you were behind me that thing had so much god damn torque steer but i loved to let her eat out on the highway. But its def one of my favorite turbos for our cars ive never went into the big boy leagues with 35r's/ 40,42r's so i cant compare them but compared to 14b's 16g's small/big and evo3's even 18g's ive had all the combos between smaller/bigger comp wheels ported clipped 20g is where its at but like stated above it all depends on what battlefield your playing on and what your goals are. Best of luck on the turbo search :thumb:

Thanks man :) love the input :dsm:

i just saw/read your post above my intial post. 20g's with an external gate are a great combo i had the flapper welded shut, tubular o2 housing with the ext gate coming off the exhaust mani and id replicate that combo/setup on my next 1g if i ever get my 2g's sold. But dont under estimate them i cant remember the exact number but they flow either 43-45 lbs of air per min. Probably one of my favorite street/strip turbos and i know people have been into the 500hp mark with them give me time at lunch and ill link you to it.

My old fwd laser ran 13.3 @ 113, on a real b16g ported and clipped on 19 psi and 93 pump. I also roasted the tires through second gear with a 2.2 60ft. So you can you that for a starter. A 20g should be able to at least low 11s on E85.
