Glad you sold it and ripped of a buddy, now go on to the BMW forums thanks.

I for one won't miss your bad attitude and know-it-all comments.

Don't like the color of the car either... Hope it works well for ya though, have fun.

I 2nd that and am also glad your leaving. A guy that bad mouths a 4g63 and a awd at that is no friend of mine.

Well I am Not making this up... Most of My friends are Bimmer and EDM. So, i kinda know what they are into.
You are right.... from DSM to EDM is a step up. BMW and DSM are totally different class and tiers. I assume you love track run. Believe me on this.... Unless you rich with tons of money, you will be stuck with your what-so-240hp-240tq BMW period. There's not much room for HP improvement for N/A. Parts are extremely expensive. Most style i seen just Hella-flush, with VIP rims, air-suspension, lower car as low as you can and that's it, dont care about comfy and speed or even handling. One thing that i dont like about one of my friend is that he's rich as hell, Know-anything-about-cars, talks crap about car especially EVO and SUbbie, all the work and mod done by shop and yet, he talks crap about my car and how cheap and junk JDM cars. Well, good for you if you like your M3. Good luck :thumb:

Thanks and I don't think I know it all. Never did.

I am not bad mouthing 4g63 at all. It's a great motor. A awd dsm is no fun like an awd evo with an actual good awd sytem. Face the facts.

Why would you post on a DSM forum that a piece of old junk BMW is better, that is just asking for it. I'm sure the streets of Colorado are littered with rusty old DSMs.

You drive an extremely ugly garbage 19 year old car and your bad mouthing a 99 bmw m3 that would stomp your head into the ground in everyway except going down a straight track. Keep your mouth shut.

Thanks to everyone else who had positive or neutral replies.

I am pretty open minded, and a really good friend of mine has an e36. While the car handled well, overall, the car was just bland, boring. It had enough umph I suppose (0-60 in 7ish seconds), but it was no more reliably than either of my DSMs, so much so that its sitting now, waiting for me to repair it. He's moved onto a G35.

So, you're comment that the e36 is much better than a DSM is a matter of opinion. It stock from, it out handles one, sure. I'll give you that 1 point.

Also, I, and many others are bit resentful, and disagree that 1gs are ugly, garbage cars.

I find that DSM AWD is perfectly usable on the road course, and the extra power (as long as you have the brakes to stop) gives a nice, large grin on the straights.

Curiously, and I'm not trolling, I just really want to know, How many times have you driven an AWD 2g DSM on a road course? Furthermore, how about a 2g DSM with a basic Koni/GC combo and upgraded sways, brakes, etc?

My problem is that you are basing everything from what you have read. Have you ever owned a GSX or GST?

I like this line the most, seeing how your comments on others on this forum were negative in so many ways. I for one won't miss you. Have fun in the BMW camp.

Nice M3, Im kinda in the same boat as you. Sold my old 1G and bought a bike and E46 328I and have be driving them since. Then two years ago bought another 1G stock 94 talon that i was going to keep it lightly moded and we know how that goes....

BTW the bmw way out handles the talon, but power wise the bimmer is slow not sure about the M

Wow, i'm relatively new to this site due to the fact a friend from DSMtalk referred me over to here just to have a look at the classifieds, however, with this post in mind, i'll add my two cents. This has for one turned into a bashing, and rightfully so. I am happy for the OP that he has gotten a new car, and while that is great for him, making a post on a DSM website that basically incites " My car is better than DSM's ", is asking for trouble to begin with. You very well could have said I got a car that is really nice - and not used the smug attitude to irritate members who it appears have been on here and are much more knowledgeable than you are.

As far as you stating another members car is ugly is stooping to a childish low. I have a 1991 White TSi FWD which is beautiful, no rust, no paint stripping, decent modifications ( Pictures will be up soon ). Either way, I agree that don't let the door hit you on the way out. You asked for the comments you received.

Sounds like the guy had trouble pushing a heavy ass NA Eclipse around a road coarse. So he went to a car that did most of the work for him. Nothing to see here.

Well guys, its time to add me to the list. Car just left the house after being traded off for a 75' corvette. Sad watching her drive away but it was a great deal for me. Straight trade, and the car is in great shape with 107k on it. Ill be back though, with a gsx/tsi awd, just couldn't pass on the deal.

Ill post pictures if I can later.

As promised, here's a picture for now,, I'll have to take one with my digital camera to make it any larger. It really needs waxed, but that will give me something to do in the morning. Here she is.

I guess I should have made my post. As of December of last year, I pushed my dsm shell onto a auto carrier trailer. A member here has it now. Excited to see what he has in store.

I didnt fall to far from the tree though. Just enjoying the evo for now. I wont put dsms down for their reliability, cause I was only let down once by mine in the 7 years of ownership. Of all places, waterpump went out at the shootout last year! :D

Do I miss it, hell yea. I want to build another one, hopefully I can pay the evo off before I start another 1g project though. :)

I've been on the fence for a while about sellin' the Talon to get a Yzf-R1 or An Evo...

Definitely would have to find the right buyer couldn't let her go to someone that would wreck or be a dip $hit an blow her up some how...Not sure I can do it though :coy:

An of course I would be back with another Dsm :p eventually...

It's finally official. My 2g TSI AWD is gone. Thanks for all of the help guys! I'll stop back to share anything I find that's relevant to DSMs, but I'm going to get into my Evo and MR2 Turbo now. Don't think for a second I won't defend them though! Thanks again everyone!

P.S. You guys should have some fun with this. Toyotas get it too! :shhh: LOL
