First off car is a 2g spyder. my wipers only have three speeds. Id like it if i could have more control of the wipers kind of like my 1g. are all 2g's this way? or could i swap out wipers with another 2g? if not would a 1g wiper controls and motor work?

Solution
I can confirm that this works, the adjustible delay on the turning part is built into the switch itself. The harness connection/pins on both switches is the exact same.

Just find a wiper stalk with the turning delay feature and swap it out on your GS Spyder.

(Then park your car indoors when it rains LOL)
What? Three speeds. Are you talking about intervals. You know you can adjust them right. If the spyders are the same as the coupes.
I might not be understanding your question.

Normally there are 3 different speed options: first is with 3 different intervals, the second is slow wiper speed and the last one is fast wiper speed. Is there any difference to a 1g wiper?

Are you talking about your intermitent speeds, or three speeds in general? My car has more than three speeds for intermitent, but otherwise I have intermitent, medium, then fast. That's all on my car. Hope that helps.:)

you say can't adjust your wiperspeed like this? :)

Exactly. I was talking about that. You got super slow, slow, med, med high, fast, super fast. LOL<---- example

Consider yourself lucky OP. The previous owner of my car put the wipers on a toggle switch, so not only do I have only slow and fast, I have to time shutting it off perfectly so they turn off at the bottom of my windshield

Don't the windshield wipers kind of help hold in the cowl?
It seems like any car would look funny with out wipers.
You should post a picture.

It actually doesn't look bad. I removed them to paint the cowl and it gave the car a sleek look. There are a bunch of plastic pins that hold the cowl down:thumb:

If you have an rs, the wipers only have 3 speed options. Where the gs/t/x have like 5 or 6 i think.

2g spiders only come gs and gst. But they only have three options inside the car for wipers. (slow medium fast)

WTF do you want? i have 3 settings, slow, fast, faster and then on the same lever theres a twist to go in between each one i can make the slow one faster but no as fast as the 2nd switch "fast"

you can most likely look for a 2g one in a junk yard.. i dont know if it would be the same plug for a 1g ... it may not even hurt to try.. as long as you dont cause any shorts you should be fine.. just disco battery before working electronics... ALWAYs

Reviving this thread as the OP never got an answer and I have this same question.

The 2G Spyder GS does not have variable speed intermittent. You have hi/low and a single speed intermittent. It's annoying the hell out of me and I'd like to swap it out for a switch with the rotational speed adjustments. Is it a simple plug and play swap? Or is there more involved?

Any actual help other than the posts above would be great.

Thank you! Took 12 years for someone to understand and answer the question. The answer is great news.
