$3 a bolt for a "high quality arp fastener" for a valve cover is a joke. Please explain how they are any better than what you can find at lowes for .15c each?

This is a valve cover, Not a head. ARP's are a waste of money for a valve cover, Sorry but its the truth.

I agree with you. I know ARP's look good but at that price I'd also stick with a hardwear store. The ARP's arent going to be any better than any other bolt for just a vavle cover. Maybe once somebody is at that point in their project where they have everything working right and have achieved their goal, then little things like the ARP's over SS would be fine.

I run the set from DSM Graveyard and love them. They are a set of threaded rod that have an allen wrench on the top. You put the stud in the head and then a nut threads onto the rod. This way you are not wearing out the aluminum threads on your head.

This to me is a step up and worth a price. The previous owner (loser) of my car was nice enough to strip out like 6 of holes. I helicoiled/repaired them and put in this kit. I have had the head cover off 4 different times and it has always gone back on great. Never had to fight with screws to figure out where the hole is.

STM Has a great hex head bolt kit for a lot cheaper.....

Or you can hit up a fastenal and get something that looks exactly the same a lot cheaper.
